Re: Pete Plan Thread

Congrats Roel! Great work. Really good pacing on that 2k as well. Congrats on finishing and the 2k!! Excellent pacing. Thanks guys! Roel, congrats! Nice progress. If you're going to do the full PP, I'd try to do five days a week if you can. If not, then do the two hard interval workouts and one lon...

Re: Pete Plan Thread

Yes, I have finished the BPP last week! Really happy with the milestone. I feel way more fit than before the plan and went down from 78kg to 75kg. At the start of the plan I managed to row 2000m in 8:32.1. Last week I tried again and I managed to do it in 7:19.4. Pretty good progress. The plan is no...

Re: Pete Plan Thread

I didn't post for a while but kept rowing the past weeks. I have made it to week 24 of the BPP so really close to the end :) Two more rows and it is done. The past weeks were pretty straight forward and went quite well. The plan asked for a TT on the 10000m in week 23 so I gave it a go. The previous...

Re: Pete Plan Thread

Finished week 21 of the BPP last week and starting week 22 tonight with a 12000m piece. I find it hard to motivate myself for the 12000m pieces as it seems never ending :) Anyways, good luck to all the newcomers! Nice to read your stories. Re: Pete Plan Thread

@ Rob - Good luck with the 2000m! I did not post for a while due to Christmas holidays. I did not row as much as normal but I did find time to advance 1 week in the BPP and do a 5000m time trial. Coming weeks is back to normal which is 3 sessions a week of the BPP. Below the results of the past work...

Re: Pete Plan Thread

It's getting quiet here as my last week's message above is still the last one :) My objective was to set a new PB on the 10,000m. I managed to improve by more than 30 seconds with a time of 41:12.6 and an average pace of 2:03.6. Happy with that! Next goal will be to go under 41 minutes. BPP 19.1 - 1...

Re: Pete Plan Thread

Six weeks to go till the end of the plan. For Monday, another 10,000m is scheduled so let's see whether I can beat my last PB of 41:54.4 with an average pace of 2:05.7. I will plan to maintain a pace of around 2:05 and see if I can speed up the last 2000m. BPP 18.2 - 4x2000m / 4 min rest https://i11...

Re: Pete Plan Thread

@ Rob - Congrats on your PB. Nice! Below my workouts from the past week. Felt pretty strong during the sessions in general. Last night I finished the 11000m just without getting cramp in the legs. Mainly because I played football during the weekend so the muscles were already a bit sore. BPP 17.1 - ...

Re: Pete Plan Thread

@ Roel - You're 8 weeks out from finishing the BPP, I'd honestly hold off on doing a 2K until you finish the plan entirely, then do a round of the full PP and test. You're so close to being finished. If you wanted to try a 5K TT, you have some 30 minute rows coming up in the plan built in to it alr...

Re: Pete Plan Thread

@ Robert, Roel, Rob -- You three are crushing it! Nice to watch all of your progress. Roel, I assume that was a PB? Huge gains for you. Thanks Mike, that was indeed a PB! I like the progress as well :) @roel - congrats on the 10k time, great work! Both your 2k and 5k PBs are going to get smashed wh...

Re: Pete Plan Thread

@ Rob - Good to see you back. Looks like I am just a week behind your BPP schedule so nice to see how you are doing at the moment. Below my past two workouts. The 10000m this week was described in the plan as to set a new personal best. The goal was to start with the same pace as last week and impro...

Re: Pete Plan Thread

Still going faster on the SS pieces. I just looked back at my first BPP row which was a 5000m piece at 2:16.5 average... I do start to find it a pretty long row though and it is hard to keep focus for around 45 minutes. Not looking forward for the distance to increase to 12000m  Anyways, good...

Re: Pete Plan Thread

Back to the forum after not posting for about 3 weeks. I did get on the rower the past weeks, so below the overview. Still seeing improvements but not as much as in the beginning though. The three times a week cadence really works for me and I have not missed a workout till date. BPP 11.1 - 10000m h...

Re: Pete Plan Thread

Finally back to the forum after more than 3 weeks basically busy with work. I did get on the rower the past weeks but just did not find the time to post the results. Below the overview. Tonight I am up for 10.000 meters but I am feeling a bit sick so might need to go a bit slower than normal or I wi...

Re: Pete Plan Thread

Below my sessions of this week. The interval session felt pretty solid. Normally, I have at least one day rest in between sessions but I did the 8000m SS piece the day after which was a bit of a struggle. BPP 7.2 - 7x500m / 2 min rest http://i1190.photobucket.com/albums/z447/brouwer_roel/Concept2%20...
