Fixing my PM2
I finally got my erg back this past year after a prolonged absence due to separation/divorce. When I got it back, I saw that the batteries had leaked inside the PM2 battery compartment and, even with fresh batteries, the display was wonky. I wasn't keen on having to buy a replacement due to finances...

I'm no doctor
I'm no doctor and I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, but I think you have to play it by ear. If you feel well enough to row and it doesn't make you so overtired that the 'bug' takes over, then I say go for it. This year during the Holiday challenge I got both a head cold and a stomac...

Would anyone be interested in putting together a weight loss group here? Maybe even a team for the online rankings? My concept 2 just arrived today and I've verified that I can upload my stats. I think it would be great to have some virtual workout partners to help push me on. You can set up traini...

Nike and Apple making iPod compatible with gym equipment
Just noticed this article about Nike working with Apple to get the iPod working with certain gym equipment. It seems like it would be a natural for C2 equipment. Unfortunately, I have neither a PM3 nor an iPod nano. Has anybody looked at this? As much as I love using pen and paper with my PM2 on my ...

I've had back spasms since college (when I gained the weight.) I take some meds very rarely to help. What I have found works best is stretching and erg'ing. Believe it or not, days I take off I'm more likely to have issues. I would also strongly suggest adding a warm up and cool down to your regime....

Mike, that's an excellent quote. And as I checked the team standings after logging my meters we were at: 12,002,899!!!! Great job, team. This has really inspired me. It's helped me get into a new weight loss program from the UK site. If my schedule allows, I'll be at an indoor race next week. And my...

Thanks for the motivation, everyone. I started out the month passing the 2 million meter mark, but not having done much for a few years with my rower. This month I've already passed 100K and I'm almost at the quarter pole on a UK weight loss plan: concept2.co.uk/weightloss/interactive.php I feel gre...

It's funny, but I just started a program last week, and when I saw those AT's and TR's, I thought, "No freaking way!" But by being religious with the warm ups and cool downs (which I had not done as much in the past, and I just past the 2 million mark) I have found that my pieces go MUCH smoother, t...
