Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
Some serious rowing going on here, I need to up my game a bit, Since my last post I have done these, I tried to rerow my previous FM which is my PB but as all too often lately I seem to go way off my predicted pace so I changed display to show estimated finish time to head for 3hr, tried SS 10k toda...

Re: What are your goals for the 2020/2021 season?
I was quite pleased to have completed more mtrs last season than the previous one, so my aim for the new season is to better that again, of course with the aim of using the PB thread at least once would be nice

A steady 10k today, first row for a good 10-12 days, my online paint order finally arrived so have been busy decorating and daily exercise has been replaced with 1-2hr dog walking, first row for new season, will aim to complete FM challenge, rowing in the garden is good until the dog tries to help o...

Re: Giving blood... how long to recover?
I cant say it really affected my training too much, I asked the same question a couple of yrs back, Im not allowed to donate anymore, My concern was the possibility of creating a bleed, so I just rowed a bit slower the day following donation,

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
day 24 mud challenge 10k, seems like just churning out the mtrs, but I have achieved my goal to beat total mtrs for the season and still 1 month left so not all bad, taken to watching predicted finish just lately to aim for 40 mins, also tried 1 day with monitor folded down, interesting........ Keep...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
it's really hard to stay motivated at the moment - we are heading towards a serious lockdown in Oz this week I suspect and the gyms will probably be closing and a lot of other businesses as well. Hopefully we can keep our heads above water - it is tricky! Home gym here we come. Weirdly many here ha...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
my routine 10k today, with it being my 19th for the mud challenge, this year really seems to be a challenge and I seem to have defaulted to a 40min session, tried today to limit that to r20 @ 2.00, makes me realise how consistent you all are when I see some of your ocd numbers...keep safe out there ...

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
Finally got the pacing of the 10k figured out. My former PB was 36:55, and I have tried 4-5 times lately to go sub 36, but not being able to. Today was finally the day, and happy not only to break it, but crushing it 😎💪 New PB: 35:24.1 :) Do not pass GO. YOu must go directly to jail, whilst you're ...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
The power of the rest day, I wasnt going to aim for PB but felt good at start, maybe left it too late to concentrate on that, was so near yet so far, then tried rerow the next day and day 3 was today, where I soon decided that I was nowhere near target and just aimed for the 40mins 14/03/20 10,000m ...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
Thursday night I HD'ed twice.....was going to do the CTC and bailed after 1min.....then decided on a 10km for FMMC and bailed again at 4km :? . Felt so tired and shocked at how tough this seems right now. Last night I decided I needed to complete something so went for another 10km. Needless to say ...

Re: Half marathon - Feedback on pacing strategy
Well done, If these were my figures I would be saying, just another 30 odd minutes takes me to the HM, I realise I put totally wrong figure in my previous reply should have said 2.15 - 2.18, but looking at your time / rate for 1 HR. I would aim even lower than that for the HM, I know easier said tha...

Re: Feedback on SPM and Drag Factor
I also try the mud challenge 25 X 10 k (I have done these before) I'm also not a professional, rower, I agree with all the other comments and I think it does need more strength to row at the lower rates, my usual stroke is circa 30, and drag is often circa 100 and just this week tried rating nearer t...
