Re: If I *can* do more, should I?

Saw the video. Jealous that there are real places like that to row!

Re: If I *can* do more, should I?

I am no expert (in rowing) and there are experts here who will chime in but all I can tell you now (regarding any exercise program) is you can always do more and sometimes you should but you need to be able to read yourself and know your pace and energy levels because if you consistently push too ha...

Re: Recording workouts on gym Concept2

I am now using the iphone erg data, went that way for an experiment. It seems better in a couple of ways than the card. You have a brightly lit color display to read (not being a fan of the pm3 dark screen) and you can synch/upload your data automatically. Will keep the card system of course, for ba...

Re: are my times ok??

If payday was Monday, how many noshows on Tuesday? A lot of coaches, teachers, and bosses will tell you that a good a$$kickin often produces better returns in focus and effort than a big facelickin. Insecurity concerning the ratio of reward to effort and level of performance is understandable and c...

Re: are my times ok??

Fishbust. You must have read a different post. There is no mention of team...just a young girl seeking validation for her efforts. Something she is not getting from her Coach. There is nothing wrong with that. If she seeks to be exceptional...that is a great thing and more power to her. We get houn...

Good job Nanagi. Equality is the last bastion of hope for the desperate and has no place in competition. (said in an Arnie Schwartznegger voice) Your efforts should be acknowledged by your coach. Unfortunately this is the world we live in now and it is sad that someones achievements fail to achieve...

Re: Recording workouts on gym Concept2

Definitely get a card and the Athena card reader. Then you can create a backup file on your pc, can upload your data and "rank" your best times online with your piers to see where you fit for your age group and see how you improve over time. It is a good motivator to see yourself moving up the list ...

Re: The classic "how's my technique?" video.

The excessive wrist bending is due to pulling the handle up to your chest. I just tried it and it feels very unnatural to me.

I row more true to how I row in the boat. Handle to mid/upper abs.

Maybe the difference is due to different body types.

Never mind. Program had issues, let it go after trial period. Will wait for the fixes.

Wintech quality is quite high in the past couple of years.
Got a 1x laying around waiting to be shipped and rowed?

No basement? It will fit through the little window if you take them out of the frame!

I got rowpro for another trial period and it still has issues that need to be worked out. Have to wait for another revision.

Bought the slides Greg, they are awesome!

Re: Rowing not racing

Rvanvoris, I have no desire to race. I row as fast or slow as I want, when I want, pack a dry bag and go out for hours. I will row until the water freezes. Temperature does not keep me in, only wind/whitecaps keeps me in, then there is the erg. I like your boat, reminds me of a Levator, a boat I wou...
