As a follow up and a general FYI on my original post; I am pleased to report that my newer processor version PM4 with rechargeable battery pack was able to retain all PM settings and data for the 3 months and 4 days it has been left unused.
Regards
Steve

Re: Will My PM Battery Last 3 Months?
You can set a PM4 into "transit mode" (that's how they're shipped from Vermont). From the MAIN MENU choose MORE OPTIONS -> UTILITIES -> LANGUAGE; on that menu press [CHANGE UNITS] three times then press [CHANGE DISPLAY] three times and the PM3 or PM4 will go into "transit mode" - all buttons are de...

Re: Will My PM Battery Last 3 Months?
Depends on what condition your rechargeable is in and what version of the PM4 you have. The post 2008 version of the PM4 uses about 10 times less current on standby compared to the earlier version of PM4 and a new set of Energizer D cells will back it up for over 2 years. Just look in the product I...

Re: Will My PM Battery Last 3 Months?
Hello,Just wanting to know if the battery will hold up on my PM4 for 3 months without the erg being used? The PM is just over 2 years old and I use the rechargeable battery option on mine. Re: Weight Training For Endurance
I have been pondering this question for a little while and asked a similar one in another thread. If focus is on an endurance sport, such as rowing 2K for best time, weight lifting is used as Lindsey describes and supports your body and your efforts in your sport. As Luke says, strength can be gain...

Re: Weight Training For Endurance
Steve I think the answer is that there are few obvious specific weight programs for endurance mainly because as said above there really isn't a lot of value in doing weights to support endurance training. I agree the best thing is slow heavy strokes for 30/40 minutes to improve power - each stroke ...

Re: Weight Training For Endurance
Very often strenght is not the limiting factor, endurance is. For shorter work, 1k and below raw strenght is more important, 2k and above much less so. If you can pull 15/16 seconds below your 2k av pace you are strong enough. Most ergers can do this, improving this will not help endurance. Yes, I ...

Re: Frame-Lock Longevity Question
The redesigned model D2 framelock is designed to break down your rower every day. when was that revision first introduced? what am I looking for? pics would help if anybody would be so kind.... I believe the redesign of the frame lock came about back in around August 2007 with the introduction of t...

Weight Training For Endurance
Having read an interesting book on endurance training recently, I am now questioning my moderate weight training regime that I have been engaged in over the past few months in an attempt to add more strength to my erg work. The aforementioned book pointed out that in order to build endurance you mus...

Re: Frame-Lock Longevity Question
No problem, there is no wear at all. That is not my experience at all - quite the contrary. My C2 Model D from November 2014 (I bought new in March 2015) has only clocked 250.000 meters due a prolonged injury and has developed a spectacularly annoying play in the "frame lock mechanism". I feels as ...

Hello,
Can anyone please tell me if the standard and Custom list default workouts as shipped on a SkiErg PM are the same as those on PM's supplied with Indoor Rowers?

Re: PM WOrkout Details
Many thanks for the info :) Can I just confirm please that on that first variable interval set that there is a trailing 1 minute rest? Seems a bit odd to me that this might be present but if it is there then just want to make sure. No worries about the SkiErg query. I suppose I should have posted th...
