This should absolutely be an event or perhaps a Halloween challenge.

Re: Squeaky Skierg (coming from Top Right Pulley)
My SkiErg 1 lived in an unheated garage for years and eventually developed a squeaky pulley - cost of a replacement was nominal and resolved the issue with minimal cost and effort.

Re: Add the "Sync" button to the main screen in Ergdata
I agree with, and would appreciate if this request was implemented. Syncing is a core functionality of ErgData - sure would be nice (and more efficient from a user interface perspective) to be able to do it from the main screen. Better yet, what about an optional functionality to automatically sync ...

Re: PM5 Feature Request - Wireless default on
Brilliant! Update works for me! I'm unclear whether change was based on my feature request, or simply a matter of great minds thinking alike  , but the update has streamlined and optimized my workout setup. Thank you to the development team (or developer). My workflow has gone from: 1) Turn on...

Re: PM5 Feature Request - Wireless default on
If you update to the latest version of firmware (163/27) then the monitor will automatically search for any previously connected wireless devices for a brief period after it has been turned on. Thank you for calling this out! I'm on a SkiErg, so relevant version number is slightly different, but as...

Re: From Wall Mount to Floor Stand?
Mechanically, moving from wall to stand is no big deal.
If you're buying a SkiErg 1, you may want to double-check availability of the matching stand.

Re: how much stress do skiergs put on your knees?
my question to all you experienced ergers is how much stress does this type of exercise put your knees under? My knees are very dodgy and been a problem for some years - I limp a lot, can't run and discomfort all the time (but bearable), replacement in is my future. Even very serious erg is possibl...

PM5 Feature Request - Wireless default on
Home user here with what I suspect is a pretty common use case - I connect my (SkiErg) PM5 to my phone (iOS) wirelessly to track and record my workouts with ErgData. Frustratingly, this connection requires multiple steps to setup every single time I workout: 1) Turn on PM5 2) Select More Options 3) ...

Re: General fitness & weight loss on Ski Erg
Hi, I'm not Pete, but have hip issues (osteoarthritis) and have had a really positive experience with a SkiErg over the last 2 years. The motion allows for as little hip flex as you need (could be arms only), and to the extent you include your hips/legs, motion is non-loaded (simply returning your b...

Thank you for the suggestion - not something I was familiar with, so I'll have to take a look / give it a try.

Re: changing SkiERG PM4 to indoorrower PM5
It does appear possible to change PM4 firmware from skierg to rowing (as I have successfully, albeit unintentionally, done so), and I would assume that rower to skierg PM is possible as well. I am currently dealing with an issue on the PM4 that came with my skierg - when I tried to update, the initi...

Skierg Complementary Exercises?
I recently read a nice NYT interview with Olympic Rower Esther Lofgren: http://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2013/10/16/the-workout-rowing-with-esther-lofgren-olympian/?_r=0 Among other topics, she discusses the importance of using weights to balance out her rowing specific muscle development and reduce in...
