Re: easier way to create favorites workouts?
I think LiveRowing makes creating workouts much easier than using the pushbutton approach.

Re: Using SkiErg and Rower
OK thanks, I'll check out Ant+ HR monitors.
I still think each erg will need a separate phone or table running Ergdata, yes?

Re: Using SkiErg and Rower
Thanks! So how do people who mix rower and SkiErg manage? Two HR monitors, and two tables/phones for ErgData?

Using SkiErg and Rower
Hey Peeps, Imagine alternating intervals on the SkiErg and Rower. You have two PM5s, but (presumably) one HR monitor. Can the HR monitor link to the two PM5s at the same time? And will ErgData talk to the two PM5s at the same time also. I'm thinking of adding a SkiErg to my rower, but I'm curious ho...

Re: How do calorie counters work on ergs etc & how accurate?
I think the Erg must know 'exactly' how much work you are doing against it. But, how much work are you doing in order to get that much work done? There's no way to know the efficiency of the operator, so they have to do a guesstimate of that part. Best not overthink it, and just accept it as a ballp...

Re: Type of oil for the rower chain
People tend to overthink the oil for chains. Job #1 is keep it clean, job #2 is a light smear of almost any clean motor oil. I use Marvel Mystery Oil myself :-) MMO is meant to be primarily a fuel additive and may be better than nothing- according to Wiki it's mostly mineral oil, though there's als...

Re: How well does a SkiErg complement the rower and elliptic
Hey guys, I hate stationary bikes, ellipticals and treadmills etc. They make me think of something out of Dante's Inferno. Strangely, I took to the Concept2 rower very naturally. It's a bit hard to explain why I relate to it differently than a treadmill, but certainly the quality of the data output ...

Re: What music do you row to?
I, erm, listen to a metronome set to the SPM I'm trying to lock into...triplet time so I do a 1:2 ratio ONE-and-a, TWO-and-a,
So I guess it's really a click track

Any of them. I've never found much to choose between different monitors. I have a Polar one and a Wahoo one and both work perfectly. I have no idea how to decide which of them is best

Re: Cycling and Rowing in one Place?
I also came across Stravistix, http://thomaschampagne.github.io/stravistix/, which does a decent job of rowing and cycling data presentation. As the name implies it links to Strava to pull all the data across. So far so good.

Re: How to use ErgData and Zwift simultaneously
The PM5 (and any Bluetooth device) will connect to only one computer at a time, so you can't use the PM with ErgData on your phone and Zwift on your laptop, say. Now if both apps are on the same device, it will depend on how the Bluetooth connection is made by the device to the app whether they can ...

Re: Noob would like some feedback please
Thought I'd post an update on how I'm doing, and how my strategy is working out. I'm doing the Beginner Pete Plan, and just finished the 5.3 stage, a 7000m row. Here's my result https://i.imgur.com/NGYyRMo.png My approach is 1. Stick to 21 SPM, then 2. Keep the average power in the range 106-110W I ...
