Hi... I know this will have been addressed many times But during this exceptional period many appear to be taking their training more seriously There seems to be conflicting advice out there.. Re: Building endurance base / MHR
I would question the concept (excuse pun) of junk metres... With the caveat of good tech! There are tremendous long term and performance potential gains from, of what is being defind in this thread as junk! Polarised training Would call for 80% of sessions goals to be at the lower end or even below ...

Hi.. I found max HR to be higher on erg rower than bike ... more muscles?? On these sets You are looking for a pace between VO2 max (2k pace ish) and threshold (FTP?) probably near 10k pace!! He also suggests this range over max efforts Don't forget most of his suggested work is significantly slower...

Re: Newbie Questions - Training Question - Drag Factor
Hi. I had similar probs myself at my not inexpensive gym.. Eventually I went there and started dismantling the fan cover...asked for their vacuum. Next minute the manager was there... Explained... Manager embarresed ... No further probs! I would dispute the statement that no serious rower goes below...

Hi Josh
I did feel the restriction on fruit made it a no no for me too
But I did increase veggies ... So probably no loss there
Big problem was Mrs not following it too... And setting cake traps
I felt like **** too and training performance was compromised. But gradually improved

Re: Doubt about training intensity zone.
Max hr... N - age is utter nonsense.
My max and resting rate has changed little in the last 35 years
You need to establish your own and other parameters before you start defining your zones
Even then HR is not perfect... Far from it.
Use watts !

Hi.
Apart from academically does it matter?
You've peaked for your 2k and now you are going through the cycle again. Lots of base km to build your aerobic base and increase your potential
