Re: why upgrade from the PM3 to PM5

The PM3 screen is not dim, you have a contrast setting you can adjust, what you probably mean is it has no backlight on the PM3 if you like rowing in the dark. At the present time you still definitely do not want a PM5 with RowPro, there are still problems with it. For those with a PM4 made after 2...

why upgrade from the PM3 to PM5

Other than the screen being dim, why should I upgrade? If I do, I'd replace the PM3 on my model B and put the PM5 on my D.

I've got mine set to 2D, but I always have the top half covered over with ITunes, Suunto Monitor, or email. I really only care about the progress bar and meter info in the bottom right. I wish you could detach the boxes or collapse the top half (but Pete won’t listen to me :) ).

I had the same problem a month ago. C2 made me pay for the replacement (with a $50 credit of the old unit). The screen on the replacement flickers.

You can't put a PM2 on a Model A, but you can put a PM3 or PM4 on a A,B,C, & D.

Not sure how you found that file, but the 2.010 version is called RowProSetup.exe. I downloaded it last night and it works fine.

I suggest you start rowing again.
In the last 30 days I've done two 100k's. With Rowpro I set up a custom session of 8 x 12500m fixed intervals with a 5min break between each set. I consume at least 1 liter of water every hour, with a Power Bar GEL every 30 min.
Makes for a long day.

It's a 32mb file (a great way to kill your email system). Send an email to Pete at Digitalrowing mailto:assist@digitalrowing.com I'm sure he will help you out.

You need a PM2+ with a serial cable to connect to a PC and use RowPro. http://www.concept2.com/05/rower/service/PM2_intro.asp You can purchase a Logcard for C2 for use with the PM3 to store rowing sessions. With a PM3 and a USB cable you can upload from the Logcard to the C2 Logbook. You will also n...

I have a model B with the PM3. The upgrade is just the work of replacing the hardware. With the PM3 you can keep track of your meters on the plastic data card or with a USB cable and a PC, you can upload to the C2 Logbook program. You can also use the RowPro program from Digitalrowing to train, keep...

Eric, It's the same thing every year, from kids (adults) manually playing the system to the endless debate on just erg meters logged, or to include water meters. I used to watch the +10k/day Annual meter board everyday (back when I was listed), now I avoid looking at it. I just let RowPro keep track...
