Re: PM5 questions

The PM5 can save your HR belt details if you insert a USB stick. Otherwise you'll have to connect your HR belt everytime. I don't recommend using a USB stick. What I do recommend is using Ergdata and using that to record your workouts. The firmware versions depend on your hardware version. Take a l...

PM5 questions

I recently purchased a used concept 2 row erg with the PM5 monitor. Is it normal to have to re-connect my heart rate monitor to the PM5 each time it on? My HRM is a Polar H7 (I think). At the top right corner of the PM5, there is an icon which looks like a bluetooth icon, but I may be wrong. Does th...

Re: Will a model D fit in an Elantra?

In case anyone else views this thread with the same question, the rower did fit in my elantra and I would think should be able to fit in almost any 4-door sedan. Other than splitting it in the center, nothing else needed to be taken apart. The front piece wouldn't fit through the trunk so it had to ...

Re: Will a model D fit in an Elantra?

Thanks for the responses. Unfortunately I will have to wait a few days until I have day off work to go grab it. Hopefully no one scoops it until then.

Will a model D fit in an Elantra?

There is a good deal on a model D but it is a 2.5-3 hour round trip drive which I would gladly make if I knew for sure that it would fit in my 4-door Hyundai Elantra sedan. The back seats do fold down and I know that the unit splits in two, but the front half might be too tall and/or too wide. Has a...

Re: Batteries need replacing or something else?

Thanks. I've been tempted to open the battery cover but it isn't my machine and the gym staff desk is right in front of the C2. I will pass on the info about the replacement battery cover and the firmware update.

Batteries need replacing or something else?

The C2 PM5 at my gym has an issue - I suspect it's the batteries, but the staff say that they have been replaced already and it hasn't fixed the issue. Before I start rowing, pushing any button on the PM5 does nothing. It isn't until I start rowing that the display starts up, but as soon as I stop r...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

Gammmmo, that is very impressive. Yesterday I was on pace to blast my old PB of 11,365meters/45 minutes. I thought what a milestone it would be to hit 11,500 so I went for it, but had to pull the plug at 41 minutes (10,600m) as I started feeling light headed. I definitely could have beaten my PB, bu...

Re: Left hamstring and gluten getting tight

I don't if it is the same issue, but my left glute would roll over each time I would transition from the finish to the recovery. I corrected it by sitting taller on the seat (focusing on avoiding a rounded back) and by not leaning back as far.

Re: sore a$$

Haven't read every post in this thread, but has an anyone experienced one (or both) of their glutes rolling over while rowing? My left glute has started rolling over in the past few months and it gets pretty sore after 5 minutes or so. I've tried towels and they don't make much difference. It's neve...

Left glute rolling over

I've been rowing for 5+ years and recently my left glute muscle has started rolling over itself which becomes quite uncomfortable. It's never been an issue up until the last 3 months or so. Now it's happening everytime after about 15 minutes of rowing. I've tried adjusting my sitting position, but t...

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!

Today, I just did 11,300 meters, 45:00 mins, 205watts, 22-24spm, 1:59.4/500m, drag factor 100 34 years old, 6'0" 210lbs. Technically not my PB since I did 11,3xx a couple years ago, but as close as I have come since. I have found that to achieve results in the PB range, I am much better off to start...

Re: New guy

Hi New guy, I'm new as of today. Can you tell me your weekly schedule and what kind of workouts you're doing currently? Thanks, Dscribe I don't really have a set schedule - I try and do 45 minutes of aerobic exercise every second day and am trying to do different activities to keep things from gett...

Re: New guy

I used to row for 30 minutes and try to beat my personal best each time which gave me a 1:53.1/500m average. .... puts me just over 11,000m and about 2:01/500m average First, the dropoff from 1:53 to 2:01 for rowing only about 3K more is a little puzzling. One would expect 2/3 sec at most. Also, 30...

New guy

Hi, I've been using the concept 2 now for a few months and have been definitely improving, but haven't really learned how to properly and/or efficiently use the machine. I am 32, 6 feet tall and about 205 lbs. I'm not a small guy, but I have good aerobic ability for my size. I used to row for 30 min...
