Re: Knees
The second one was easy after the first. I knew all the answers to the same test. I did the second one as out patient due to COVID. There are some rough spots but, it well worth it for me. For 20 years I thought about my knees, now I only think about them when I miss the pain. I am stronger and more...

Re: Knees
Yes. Did both knees in 2020, 4 months apart. The rower was great for range of motion and building back the strength. I was back rowing less than 3 weeks post op. Started back at 2000m. My advice is to attack the PT like an athlete. Work in=Out come. Feel free to PM me. Good luck. For me it has been ...

New PM5 Data Restoration
So I needed to replace my PM5. Is there a way restore my workouts from the log book to the PM5? I also use Ergdata. Thanks. Not a big deal really but, it would be nice.

Re: PM5 Parts
Yes they were Energizer batteries. My mistake was not taking it fully apart in the beginning. I cleaned the back cover throughly when it happened and everything was great for about two years. I then started having issues with battery life and replaced the back cover (6 months ago) because the seemed...

PM5 Parts
I had a battery issue that caused some corrosion on the circuit board. I attempted to clean it and it worked for a bit, than it didn't. Long story short, the board is likely fried and I have a new PM5 on the way. If anyone needs some parts other than the board let me know. They can be yours for the ...

Re: Bad knee, first time on PM5
I have been Erging for about 3 years with severe OA in both knees. I found Erging was one of those things that I could be relatively comfortable doing along with swimming and biking. I will likely never put in the meters or the times that others do but I enjoy it. I try to cross train to keep it fre...

Re: Erging after knee replacement
Update. A little over three weeks post surgery I got on the erg today for an easy 2000 meters. I have been aggressive with the PT and exceeding the targets. Knocked the drag factor back to 110 and kept a smooth 20 spm pace. Decided it would be best to go strapless. All went well and I can tell this ...

Erging after knee replacement
Going in next week for a total knee replacement. What experience Do you have and expectations can I have? My typical month is about 60k as I also mix in some biking and swimming. Thanks for your guidance.

Re: Giving blood... how long to recover?
I donate fairly regularly 4-5 times a year. It seems to have some negative short term effect but, compared to the effect that the donation has on the people that need my O- blood I can deal with it. I will say that if you do donate the double red cells that is a real whammy and takes some serious re...
