Re: Scwinn Airdyne vs SkiErg
Thanks for your responses Drive and Kini. The other machine I'd like to throw in the mix is a Bowflex M5 or M7. It's a stepper with a push/pull motion. As someone thats about to hike up a 14,000 mountain, it would be the ultimate trainer for that. Unfortunately they are expensive at $1500.00 to $210...

Scwinn Airdyne vs SkiErg
I know you all will be biased but here goes. Anyone here using the Skierg also have experience with the Schwinn Airdyne? I currently have the rower and looking for a piece to compliment that. Do you find it's easier to get the heart rate up on one or the other? Is one more "comfortable" to use than ...

Rowing During Rest Periods on Intervals
Is there a way to display and record work data during rest periods when doing intervals? If I just completely stopped during the rest intervals this would be fine but I like to keep a light row to keep my heart rate up.

Re: Cyclist Experience with Concept2
I'm working on my technique and feel like I've improved but still not there yet. The metrics on my 500 meter are as follows: 28s/m, stroke count 26, 327 average watts, average force 264, peak force 341, drag factor 218. Damper was set to 10 but usually its a 4, just doing some self experimentation.

Cyclist Experience with Concept2
Got my rower about the same time I got into cycling in September 2012 and for the most part it just gathered dust. I decided that this winter season that I wanted to give the rower a go and take a break from cycling unless we have an unusually warm weekend which could easily happen in Texas. My cycl...

Re: Utilize Rowing for 100 Mile Bike Ride
Steve, can you give me an update? I was able to successfully complete a very hilly century ride in Fredericksburg TX in March of this year but did not train on the rower. However, the only training I did was 2 interval training sessions during the week on the cycle trainer and one long ride on the w...

Re: Utilize Rowing for 100 Mile Bike Ride
I am glad I read these posts. In July 2014 I plan on riding 100 km in the Tour de Long Valley. Because of my work, it is better for me to row on my C2 rather than focus much time on my bicycle. It will be intersting to see how, much the C2 contributes to my readiness for the 100 km ride. As I get cl...

Utilize Rowing for 100 Mile Bike Ride
My goal is to do a 100 mile bike ride. Longest ride to date is 47 miles. No problems doing a long ride on Saturday or Sunday but do not have the time or desire to put in the miles during my hectic work week. I'd like to incorporate the rower once or twice during the week instead of cycling but don't...
