Re: Steady wins the race… 1 year of rowing.
Rick, my experience is similar to yours, later in life finding an exercise that helps the whole body. And, in my case, eventually led to a masters program and rowing on the water. Give it a try. You will not be disappointed.

Re: Seat cushioning for Model D Rower
Masters Rowing recently mentioned the ProW at easygoingrowing.com. Not an endorsement…I do not own one.

Re: Connecting HRM
I have had the same issue with my Garmin and I do not wish to do the whole Bluetooth/ergdata thing.
Can anyone at Concept2 explain?

Re: Beat up runner asks: Can rowing replace running?
Hi Tom, Your background is very similar to mine about 15 years ago. I purchased an erg because I felt that I lacked any upper body strength and I was approaching the age where you start to lose muscle mass. I have continued to run but generally limit myself to 30'. I have not found the erg to be bor...

Something is wrong with this list. It doesn't include any listings for Rich "Ranger" Cureton.

Re: Broken piece that I cannot identify
I too was lucky. After reading this thread I checked my erg and saw that after 12 years and 25M meters, the brushing was deformed. I was doubly lucky because I was able to turn the piece and continue on....perhaps for another 25M ??

Re: Foot Blisters - with Shoes
I row at home. I keep a pair of old running shoes loosely strapped in at all times and just slide my socked feet in when I want to row and out when I am done. Never had a problem.

Ranger, the nay-doer, will never pay his just debts. Ranger, the nay-does, will never race MVB OTW. Ranger, the nay-doer, will never post any time and distance training results. Ranger, the nay-doer, will never go below 6:50 OTE. And, Ranger, the nay-doer, will never post any screen shots of his tra...

Re: Ranger's training thread
Ranger will never show the results of his training, time and distance. Ranger will never row a 1:46-48 marathon. Ranger will never go below 6:50 OTE. Ranger will never race Mike VB OTW. Ranger will never pay the debt that he owes to Henry. Why? It is obvious from this silly "training thread," now mo...
