Re: PyRow / Raspberry Pi 4
Yeah, sorry. "craps out" = appears to just drop off the USB (bus) in the middle of the 2nd call. libusb "debug" messages show nothing strange. I can't find a way to get pyusb to show any diagnostics though. Same with a PM5 on Pi 3 or 4, or PM4 on the Pi 4 - hence I feel it's user error, rather than ...

PyRow / Raspberry Pi 4
Is anybody running a version of PyRow on a Pi 4B under Buster? I'm stumped trying to get it to work ... Connecting to either a PM4 or a PM5 it drops out after the first read. Using libusb v1.0.22.11312 and pyusb v1.0.0 I have a working instance on a Pi 3B+ (running Stretch) connecting to a PM4 with ...

Wahoo TICKR 2020 model with PM4 not connecting?
Has anybody been able to use the new model Wahoo TICKR heart rate strap (2020 model, rather than 2014) with a PM4? I'm now on my second, without success. Just does not show up in Connect a HRM at all. I'm on up to date (v29) PM4 software. A Bluetooth connection to a phone works fine, but not ANT+. W...

Re: Are you a negative or positive splitter?
Also, I've seen where the exact same data, let's say by Olympic competitors for which such data is available, draws exactly different conclusions. Now that is strange. At Olympic level I imagine the mind games involved in "psych out the opposition in this race" vs "psych out (in?) me in this ergo s...

Re: Dog Days of Summer & Rowlympics 2016
Ah - I didn't see that measurement the first time I looked. Seems kinda odd, I agree. Did you notice the 25 hr person has 55,592 lifetime metres and 5,057 season metres? 5,057m seems rather low for 25:05 hours of rowing (I think that's close to 30 mins per 500m! Suspect a data entry error, maybe - n...

Re: Heart Rate Lags Behind Work?
I see that some times (not always). When you start the next rep your breathing rate accelerates but the oxygen demand hasn't made itself known, so the heart rate continues to drop from where it was at the end of the rest period. Don't fret about it - wait another 2 months until you see what is norma...

Re: Dog Days of Summer & Rowlympics 2016
For what it's worth, my logbook now says "You have completed 2:10:00 in the Rowlympics challenge." That's 2 sessions, both 5 x 10min, 3 min rest. They're counting rest time! The second session was immediately after the opening ceremony, the first was 24 hours before. So done on on the 5th & 6th for ...

Re: Dog Days of Summer & Rowlympics 2016
Dougie, I don't think that's entirely correct. For me (at least) the C2 Utility uploads workouts to the logbook using local time, and the logbook displays them back to me with the same times. I haven't seen anywhere to enter a time zone, so I assume C2 are not actually recording US Eastern timestamp...

Re: Strokes per Minute
Huh? I'm, 1.7x m tall, and mostly manage to pull around 10m / stroke. That's not anywhere near 75% ...jamesg wrote:Overall stroke length should be about 75% of your height.
