Interesting Training Game

I've found this keeps it fresh I do an interval pyramid of 1,2,3,4,5,4,3,2,1 mins with 30 secs in between For each leg, I pick a pace and try to hit it as the average. From leg to leg, I adjust the pace according to the duration, e.g. 1.54 for 1 1.56 for 2 1.58 for 3 2.00 for 4 2.02 for 5 2.00 for 4...

Re: My Son Has Started to Use My C2......

and I couldn't be happier! He'll be 13 yo next month. Never before has he been interested in any kind of athletic or physical activity. Today was his 3rd workout on the erg. He only did 3700m in 28 minutes, but still, I am proud of him. I just need to find a way to be supportive and encouraging wit...

First Row Pro Race

Just finished (gasping & panting) a 5K race against an international field Thanks Mike for setting it up and walking me through the set up I was sitting there for about 2 minutes staring expectantly at the PM3 before I realized I had to click 'Ready' on Row Pro :-) Paul p.s. For some strange reason,...

you won't see an online row in the internet/sessions unless you have already signed up for it, or somebody puts up a quick row (which shows up for everybody for 15 minutes). I use the website for looking at upcoming rows and to sign up (so I never go into the control panel/internet tab which is the...

Visible Online Row Pro Races

Hi, I'm thinking about getting into Internet rowing. In Row Pro, after clicking 'Internet' in 'Session Setup', I get the message 'No sessions are available'. Fair enough, but a few minutes ago I saw a list of upcoming races over the next few days (the closet being about 3 hours out) Any insight as t...

Natural pace?

If I just get on the erg with no specific pace in mind for any sort of time beyond 15 mins , I seem to settle into around 2.07/500 without thinking about it. Very comfortable at this pace, but just dropping it down to 2.00 makes a big difference for heart/breathing etc. Do others have a pace that th...

It would be more useful if you plotted the data on a semi-log scale (base 2). (i.e. 500m,1000m,2000m,4000m, 8000m etc would all be equally spaced.) Then dots would be much closer to a straight line and more useful as a prediction of other distances. It would also be easier to see what distances are...

7:27 is very respectable :D I agree. Also, 7:27 is about 1:52/500m, so that would be associated with an expected time for an isolated 500m of about 1:42. You were only about a second away from it. Don't be hard on yourself. Well done. Dave thanks guys, appreciate the encouragement amazing how the f...

Re: First go at 500m & 2000m

had a Model A for years, just got the PM3 500m - 1.43.2 2000m - 7.27.1 could have pulled harder on the 500m I think, the 2000m was pretty much all out thought I might have done better. Ah well, room for improvement. Mud sorry, didn't mean to start a new thread. Technically these were personal 'best...

Re: PM3 retrofit to a Model A

As Long as you have about 3 feet of free space surrounding the flywheel (sides and off the end) you will have an equivalence of 500m to what was 1 mile on the Speedo/ODO. Thanks Paul, the space determines the air resistance for the blades? which impacts the equivalence? Do you still have the old Sp...

Send an email to C2 and find out for sure but... If the PM3 is set to the correct moment of inertia for the fly wheel it should work just fine. You may get slightly different scores because the machines feel a bit different resulting in you applying power slightly differently and because the chain/...
