I like this idea. I'll try it when I have my own personal home machine next year.you do not need to keep changing them, they should be loose enough to just slip your feet into your shoes, however I also leave my shoes on the rower

I struggle with carpal tunnel too, but find I have no problems yet with a relaxed fingertip grip on a 5k piece. I also do kettlebell swinging to help with grip strength.
