Re: "Balance base for rowing machine"
No experience but those are interesting. I've used a set of shox-boxes for a number of years (sadly, company now out of business) - same concept but they also provide a bit of cushion (up and down) at the catch and finish as well, perhaps to simulate the feel of a single on the water. Now if I could...

Re: Slides or no slides
Obviously old post but I'm hoping for a response from Jim or others who still have shox boxes. Before they went out of business I believe Shox Box had a way of mounting the boxes on Concept 2 slides, and from Jim's post I gather that he had that feature and/or was able to do that. Does anyone know i...

Re: Model D, Dynamic, Shox Box
Greetings c2forum posters.... Wow, this is a really fun example of a post getting totally hijacked - my post actually, from a year ago. If the original subject matter/question was of no interest to the community, you should have let the thing die a natural death. Forgive me Slidewinder, and I'm a bi...

Re: How do I correctly measure my resting heart rate?
ps.... Really no need to grab your chest belt/heart rate monitor. If you have a clock or watch close by, simply find your pulse and count the number of beats in a minute.

Re: How do I correctly measure my resting heart rate?
Some might also advise you to measure your resting heart rate first thing in the morning before rising. This will probably give you the lowest possible reading of any time during the day.

Re: Shox-Box "vs." Slides
Well, for what it's worth I can speak to rowing with the rear shox-box only, after having put almost 800K meters on mine at home and comparing it to rowing the same model D (without shox-box) on occasion at the gym.... The rear box raises the rail slightly, increasing the forward pitch a bit. Small ...

Sorry - the link on the technique video was posted by Bob S. - credit to him rather than Citroen....

Re: Technique Critique Request
I've got almost my first 1 Mil meters now - so I'm still a relative novice on this forum, and I continue to work on improving technique - probably always will.... Much more experienced and qualified rowers here - if you search the forum you'll find great advice. I certainly agree with Citroen on the...

Very glad I could help.... Your initial post sent out all the red flags - I had all but forgotten ThaFitnessFactory until I saw your inquiry.

Re: *Really* Cheap Model D- is this a scam?
I want to be very careful not to impugn this company's legitimacy - I don't know anything about them.... But to me it definitely sounds too good to be true. Before I bought my Concept 2 in January, I shopped on-line pretty thoroughly, and found one web site out of TX offering them at an amazing disc...

Re: Just assembled my new C2 - is this a defect / damage ?
Likewise I immediately noticed that my model D (grey version) delivered in January had the mesh off-track/out of place, but as others have stated, it was an simple fix - loosen the screws, position the mesh where it was obviously intended to be, and tighten the screws back up.... Not sure why they'r...

Re: Row2Go membership: my best investment in years
I have a question then for you guys regarding the on-line memberships.... Are the workouts identical to the ones on the flash drive that Xeno sells? I see a one year membership to his site runs $220; the flash drive is $299, but then of course you have the workouts permanently.... Both are fairly si...

Model D, Dynamic, Shox Box
Greetings Concept2 owners/rowers. I'm getting ready to make my purchase and have been researching models. I'm moving up from a Kettler Favorit piston style rower, so I know I'm going to step it up regardless of what unit I purchase. Putting price entirely aside, I am considering a Dynamic rather tha...
