Shorter rowers

I have a friend who is 5'0 and only 105 pounds. She can't pull the same erg times as the rest of the team, and it's obviously because of her size. She's wondering if anyone knows any tips on what to do to improve her erg time.

I'm not sure; my coach just decided on a 1500.
I got a 6.18 and my goal is under 6 minutes.
Our next 1500 trial will be in 3 weeks.
And I'm 15, 5'6, and around 150 pounds.
