Help with technique

Are there video's that you would recommend to help me improve my rowing technique?

I injured my hip 2 weeks ago while rowing and haven't been able to row since then.

The easiest weight loss 'program' I've ever been on is to go low-fat vegan: no meat, fish, chicken, dairy, eggs, cheese etc. Keep all other fats including olive oil, canola etc to an absolute minimum and avoid highly processed stuff such as sugar, white bread, cookies, convenience foods etc. Concen...

Re: Hip flexor strain

I had problems with the same after very hard paced bike rides. A massage therapist took care of the initiial problem, and as she is also a Yoga instructor, she gave me a stretch to do before and after rides. I do this also first thing in the morning and before and after rowing as well. Put yourself...

Hip flexor strain...arghh!!!!

Anyone ever deal with a hip flexor strain?
After a 45 minute bike ride in the morning, I did a 7500M row late in the day. With about 550M to go, my hip gave out.

1st week...how'd I do?

Well, I just completed my first 7 days with my C2. I have (for the most part) followed the Pete Plan. My distance so far is 56,767M.
I have lost 3 lbs, but more importantly, I can actually see some definition in my abs. It is one area that I didn't think would benefit as much as it has.

Congrats on your decision to get in shape. You'll like my story - I used to row in college 20 years ago but then stopped exercising. 10 years ago I used my erg for a year and got in shape, but stopped again. Last October I decided I had to do something or else. I'm a 39-year-old male, 6'3", I was 2...

How to delete data?

My daughters use my C2 once in a while, which is great but the 5 or 10 minute rows show up on my Excel log sheet.
How can I clean up my log times to show just my times and distance?

Though I think that eggs are the most complete protein, beans are a better protein, supplying fiber, complex carbs and no cholestoral.

Re: Changing to underhand grip?

Does anyone change grips during a training session? Well, you do, and probably others doing that therapy. It is not, however, in the set of common drills for competitive rowers. I wasn't suggesting changing grip as part of competitive training, but rather as a way to work on different muscle groups...
