Thank you for the replies. Since I don't have a home computer (don't need one), I was planning on getting something just for rowpro. Being it's just for that, I want to spend as little as possible and do it right the first time.

Laptop or Desktop for Rowpro
I've only been indoor rowing for 3 months and have been reading the forums to improve my knowledge. After reading up on rowpro, I find that I am confused about what hardware to have in order to run rowpro at its best. I'm curious, what do you think most people run rowpro on, a laptop or desktop? I a...

Sliders Question -New to Erging
I'm very new to erging and have had my model d for 6 weeks now. Came across interesting discussion about rowperfect vs concept 2. That debate aside, one person talked quite enthusiastically about using sliders and gave his reasons why which sounded pretty good. It got me thinking and now wonder if I...

Help with choosing a laptop
Not having a computer at home, I'm now shopping for a laptop to run rowpro. I've read the specs but don't know enough about computers to fully understand if it will maximize all of rowpro's video features. Also, running rowpro on the laptop is all I'm going to use it for. How inexpensive can I get a...

Re: Questions from one new to rowing
Thanks for that insight. I went to the UK interactive site and liked what I read so I set up a program there.

Questions from one new to rowing
Hi, I'm 51 and just got my model D a week ago. I've been reading all the C2 manuals, watching videos on technique and have done the 5 or 6 beginning workouts and am just basically trying to establish good form as this is all new to me. I just have a two questions right now. When it comes to warming ...

Re: contemplating a rower
One more thing...I did quickly look over that article about the fatigue crack but I didn't see anything in there that would help me communicate that issue to the seller in terms of a serial number or something else. The seller did tell me previously that the unit is about 7 years old. Is there somep...

Re: contemplating a rower
Why did you have to use it in the garage? Was it noisy or something else? As for the D3 designation, that's what the seller listed it as on Craigslist. I will ask him about the frame crack issue. Thanks for bringing that up.

Re: contemplating a rower
I like that idea of putting a static rower on the sliders. Can you tell me if the D3 I'm looking at which is about 7 years old is any different than a new model D? I've only seen pictures of this used D3 and the owner says it hasn't been used much. As the lifespan of a concept 2 seems to be very lon...

contemplating a rower
I'm 51 and have never used a rower. However, i do maintain an active exercise regimen but would like to add rowing. I have been considering a model d and even found a d3 for $575 on craigslist. However, on doing more reading i've now come across lots of discussion on dynamic rowers. Even stumbled ac...
