Re: Pete Plan Thread
Good Day, Was your workout part of the BPP or the full plan? I have found the improvement comes both from the work and from the confidence at higher rates/faster speeds. I have to work harder each week to continue to lower the average, but if it starts to be too much, decrease how much you lower it....

Re: Pete Plan Thread
Good Day, Nice pyramid, everyone is doing a great job. I may suggest that the pyramid should be declined or maintained on the way up and beaten on the way down, but honestly, I am a believer that if you are beating the last average, you are on point, but aiming to decline is the goal (for me). HD’in...

Re: Pete Plan Thread
Good Day, Aim for 1:49/500. Your 5x1500 doesn’t look like max effort as it’s declined with decent sized gaps. Also, you are a wrestler, think about what your coach would say. Honestly, I do BJJ and I know what my coach expects when it comes to pushing through pain aerobically and my guess is your hi...

Re: Pete Plan Thread
Good Day, Nice work everyone. James, that’s a great 5x1500, especially in the first week. Remember, all you have to do is beat that average next time. I find holding true to the first 4 being at the last average and all out on the end, but that’s me. I have that workout Thursday, but may push it to ...

Re: Pete Plan Thread
Good Day, Regarding the 10k. First, I am no expert and am not someone you should probably listen too. There are much more knowledgeable people here. But, my advice boiled down to three things 1. Breath control and breath practice WILL make you faster. 2. The David Googins idea that when you think yo...

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
Good Day, May 4 I set a new 10k PB - after giving some advice to someone I tried following what I told them. I am happy to report that it hurt (so good) exactly how I thought it would. However, besides breath control practice and the Pete Plan, I do not understand how this happened or why. 10k at 36...

Re: Pete Plan Thread
Good Day, Cycle 4 Wk 1 Open Rate Speed 10k in 36:53.2 or 1:50.6/500 I do not know what to say. I broke my PB on May 4 and when I sat down to push today, I was thinking about some advice I gave someone about a 10k TT. So, I took my own advice and will gladly report that it hurt like hell, but form an...

Re: Pete Plan Thread
Booming - Yes, my bad, I looked at it as an interval. My bad. HR, though, in steady state staying the same or decreasing is awesome. Should mean you are getting in better shape. Well done.
