Well I guess you could say you've become more powerful or efficient, looking at lower rates. And you can handle higher heart rates.
But you can't really compare as per the reasons above (conditions, previous workouts etc).

That force curve is still wrong. Please stop posting your "technique" advice to other people because it is wrong. Have you ever been coached by someone who knows what he/her is doing? If you have, you have interpreted what they have said incorrectly. Nope, not at 1:49 @ 21 spm (12 SPI, etc.). If I w...

Here's someone rowing well, in fact, better than well, at a pretty high rate (28 spm). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TRMrkMECldg ranger That isn't well?? :/ It's "jerky" and there is no flow. Looks like there is pausing at the finish and you do something funny with your arms after they have straig...

If you didn't, you may need to go back to the drawing board with technique. be quicker with my arms and back on the recovery (Semi)Wrong. On the erg th...

I only mentioned that it was on the wristwatch and not on the monitor to be clear that it was a problem with the HR monitor, not the PM3. I've thought that it could be the monitor not being wet enough but that wouldn't explain why it worked just before I start rowing. I think it could be because of ...

Heart Rate Monitor Problems?
I own a Polar heart rate monitor and use it for my training. It works with all the other exercise I do (besides ergoing - running, cycling etc.) but when I get onto the ergo it doesn't work. I'll start the (wristwatch) monitor and it'll read my HR fine... Then after a couple of seconds on the erg it...

AFAIK, almost all head races in the USA are 5K. Some times they do vary if the water way requires it, and I think one or two are different because of history (isn't the Yale-Harvard race 4 miles?). Last 9 out of 10 or so head races I did were 5k (one was a 14.5 mile "half marathon"). Oh ok :) yeah ...
