Re: Sprinting During Aerobic Workouts
These speeds might seem slow to you, but you get the relative idea. A workout I do often is I'll ride for an hour at a 2:15-2:20 pace and every fifth minute I'll ride at a 1:55-2:00 pace. Seems to give me a pretty good workout.

Re: Adjusting resistance - extending handle
Does your knee/leg come close to hitting the extended handle?

Re: Setting drag factor
#3 is wrong
Bikeerg knows you moved damper to #1 and calculates work/speed accordingly.
However, if you put a towel over the opening after the calibration step Bikeerg has no way of knowing this and readings will be incorrect.

Re: Bikeerg- Replacing pedals
Ordering a pair of $10 strapless toe clips on Amazon would be good. I use clipless pedals and my cycling shoes but am ready to ditch them. Too much trouble having to get ready to ride. The strapless clips allow you to place your feet consistently on the pedals in the same position. besides, the old...

Water Bottle Mounts
I bought a pair of the water bottle mounts from Concept2 and was never satisfied with them. No matter how much I tightened the thumbscrews (even using a pliers), the cages would rotate down on the handlebars. I ended up removing the handlebar mounts and just used a pair of 2-1/2" long screws to stra...

Re: Considering BikerErg
I was originally considering Echo Bike for low impact HIIT but am now unsure. I've never ridden an airbike. I use to really enjoy cycling outdoors but I haven't done that in years. I don't consider myself a cyclist; but I still have sweet road and hard-tail MTB bikes that are begging to be taken ou...

Resistance Setting
Suggestion: Numbers for the damper setting should be on the circumference of the blower, not the face. You can't see the numbers when you're sitting on the bike.

Re: Setting drag factor
So could somebody do a recalibration with the drag on high then cover the opening and break all the bikeerg records?

Additional seat post?
Is it possible to purchase an additional seat post for the BikeErg? That way we could mount a women's saddle on one for my partner and a men's saddle on the other for me for easy switch over.

Where to try a BikeErg?
I would like to try a BikeErg before buying. I will be traveling for work next month and will be in St. Louis and Philadelphia. Is there a gym in either of these cities that has a BikeErg?

Re: Setting drag factor
The bike looks very interesting, but it's not like I need one in the next week. I think I'm going to wait until a few more user reviews get out there. It's not been available very long yet, I'm sure more comments will start turning up.

Re: Setting drag factor
I've already mentioned this a few replies back but Concept 2 haven't said anything yet. 80 rpm is actually quite low for me and I prefer to do my long easy spins, as well as most of my sessions, in the 95 - 100 rpm bracket. Easy spinning at a high ish cadence won't be an option for most people on t...
