Re: What will happen if I store my C2 Dynamic vertically?
No direct pressure is placed on the seat when stored vertically. Here is a picture showing the bungee side of the erg. You can see in this picture the only points of contact if turned on its back end would be the two casters and the end of the main seat beam, the rolling seat would be a couple feet ...

What will happen if I store my C2 Dynamic vertically?
I have a C2 Dynamic rower but recently I moved to a much smaller place and it's not practical to leave it horizontal all the time. I suppose switching to a regular fold up erg would be better but I'm pretty attached to how the Dynamic feels especially on my joints. The instructions for the Dynamic s...

Re: Rowpro for Mac
I've been holding on on upgrading to RowPro4 since I'd have to buy the 40$ upgrade plus 100+ for Windows 8. I have XP on my parallels. So that's the main reason. I'm not in any rush to upgrade since RP3 doesn't run too badly for me and it'd be nice to save on buying windows again.

Re: RowPro is horrible for Mac / Parallels --
I have worse specs than that on my macbook and have never had any problems even with Rowpro 3 on Parallels running full 3D.

Connection kit questions
I'd like to use the ErgData app with my new iphone but I have a few questions about the connection kit. 1) I have an iPhone 5s with the new smaller lightning plug, but the connection kit product picture shows the older iphone dock connector. Is there a kit or adapter available for newer iphones or d...

Re: RowPro V4.0 has been relased
Though if you are using this laptop for nothing but Rowpro it doesn't really matter all that much, there shouldn't be anything to steal. Rowpro works absolutely fine for me on my almost 4 year old macbook and parallels. It's only crashed once and I found out after that it was a server side thing, no...

Re: RowPro V4.0 has been relased
While apple does have relatively smaller marketshare they are the fastest growing in computers and mobile, being a luxury brand probably associated more with people with expendable cash for rowing equipment and software, their app stores bring developers more revenue than competitors etc. There's a ...

Initial unit settings
For the longest time my PM4 would always show 500m time as the default unit. For a little while I started using watts and switched to that for a number of sessions. However, at some point my PM4 started to show watts be default whenever I started rowing. I don't remember when exactly and if I did an...

Re: New iPhone app Concept2 Indoor Rower: "ErgData"
Is the Average Force the average strength of each individual pull ie the average of the values on the force graph for each pull (and is it similar to SPI stroke power index?), or is it the average of all your pulls in the session? I'd really like to be able to see the amount of work I performed with...

Re: Form check - beginner
Big thing I was noticing was the bent arms way too soon. They should be straight and loose, hanging off the cable like ropes with hooks at the end. The biceps shouldn't be bending the elbow until a moment after your body swing starts. Relax those arms, especially on the recovery, it kind of looks li...

Re: Burning legs
As long as it's a muscle burn and not a tingling/shooting/nerve type pain you're all good. You want the burn in your legs not back/arms.

Re: Butt sores
Wait, have you tried rowing shorts? You said in one post you are wearing cycling shorts and that seems like the problem right there. The padding is on different, ie pretty much opposite, spots for rowing. Having that strip of padding down the middle just means there's more material in your crack to ...

Re: Low back pain and concept2 rower (SkiErg better?)
Does your back pain involve any shooting/burning/throbbing out and downwards to your butt/leg/feet (ie nerve related)? And have you been playing soccer a long time? Assuming the answer to your first question is no, many soccer players develop an anterior pelvic tilt which might be your issue. Basica...
Re: Breathing
I've been been breathing weightlifting style (full lungs at the catch, brace, and exhale on drive) and tried the xeno style once yesterday but the thing that bothers me with it was I feel like my back had less support. The main reason lifters hold the breath is to keep pressure in the torso which ac...
