Problems using Garmin 310XT with PM4
Hi - I've been setting up multi-step programs on my 310XT (can download from Garmin Connect or Garmin Training Center) to use on my Concept 2 Model D with PM4. Unfortunately, steps I set up randomly get truncated - that is, the watch will skip to the next step before a step is done - but it happens ...

Re: Ant+ garmin fit app
Here's what I just got from Concept2 support: Data is sent in the ANT+FE defined pattern at 4hz; some data is sent more frequently than others. For details I refer you to the ANT+FE spec at http://www.thisisant.com. Basics are: Time, distance, current speed, and HR are sent twice per second Stroke l...

Interest in a PM3 for sale?
Upgrading to a PM4 for Ant+ capability - wondering if there is any interest out there in purchasing a PM3 alone. Perhaps someone with an older model such as a PM2?

Re: Ant+ garmin fit app
I'm trying to do the same via Sports Tracks - I believe it does, though I'm going to confirm that with someone at Concept2 I've been in touch with.

Never mind about the force curve - I found stuff all over the place including this forum. Lots of opinions.

Re: Getting HR up on Concept2
Much progress -- I had been focusing on my arms, and definitely most of the effort was coming from there. Legs weren't getting at all tired. So I increased DF to 138 so I could push fast with my legs and still feel like there's something there. As one of you had suggested, the problem might be that ...

Re: Getting HR up on Concept2
Okay -will a) experiment with higher DF and more drive from legs and,
b) setting up a way to take a video when I'm on rower.

Re: Getting HR up on Concept2
Hey guys - So all of the above makes sense. In terms of the obsession with HR - I'm not doing this due to a particular interest in rowing (although I'm starting to really like it!). I came to this as part of my overall fitness program. In fact, kung fu is my primary activity, but it can be difficult...

Re: Getting HR up on Concept2
I appreciate the input even if the delivery was not the most sensitive. :) We might need to see a couples therapist. But seriously, when I'm rowing, I don't feel like my legs are working very hard at all. I think I have the timing reasonably good - not perfect no doubt, but I'm initiating with legs,...

Re: Getting HR up on Concept2
Okay - I'm getting it. I have RowPro and I set up a training plan using it. Did 3868 m, avg pace 2:35, avg power 94W (peak about 120), avg SR 23spm Did better with heart rate. Getting the concept of lower SR but more power. I think I understand what I need to do now - kind of counter-intuitive at fi...

Re: Getting HR up on Concept2
Hey everyone - thanks for the great feedback. So last night i did 5000 m. I took some of your suggestions, faster, harder drive, easier recovery. Also slightly lowered DF from 130 to 118. Ended up with time of 27:03, avg pace 2:42, avg power 82 W, Avg SPM 26 For the first time, this got my HR up int...

Re: Getting HR up on Concept2
Thanks both of you. I'm 54, 180 lb, 5'9". Been active in martial arts and biking for many years, also running on treadmill last six months or so. Added rowing to the mix very recently. Aerobically, I'm probably about average fitness - working on improving that and dropping some weight. My stroke rat...

Getting HR up on Concept2
Hi - I'm new to the Concept 2 and rowing, though not new at all to training. I use a heart rate zone training approach and want to be able to get my HR up to the appropriate zone. I'm finding it difficult to figure out what to adjust in my rowing to increase my HR. On the treadmill, I increase speed...
