Craftsbury Sculling Center- Internship
Hey everyone, I was reading about Craftsbury Sculling Center, and I found that they had an internship offer. Sounds interesting to me, I think I will be applying for the end of this summer. I am currently a high school junior and I would be able to spend two weeks there as a first-time intern. Anyon...

Re: Rojabo Training
Hey everyone, Question about the Rojabo testing. I understand there is a power test and an endurance test. Are these done on the same day? Within a couple of minutes? I'm not sure what the gap between the two is supposed to be/if it matters. Sorry if this appears on Rojabo itself, I'm trying to unde...

Re: Summer Training Plan
Nfeht, I made a route to the boathouse on the mapmyride.com website (thanks for showing me that!) The route is about 12 miles one way, I am considering using the biking to replace some of the steady distance portions of the Pete Plan for logistical reasons. Atorrante, yes, it is a strange sounding p...

Re: Summer Training Plan
Hey, Yes, I have been trying to gain weight. I weighed 138 pounds at the beginning of the season, so I have been making some progress. I'm still unsure on the best way to go about gaining weight without gaining fat, but I guess that's a topic for another thread. (If you know of one, could you show m...

Summer Training Plan
Hey everyone, Spring season is slowly (sadly) coming to an end, and as a high school sophomore I am getting ready to make a big push for next year. This summer I will be sticking to a training plan. I don't have a clear goal yet, so far it is just "become a much better rower". I have been lurking on...

6K erg strategy
Hey,
I am thinking about testing myself on 6k meters. I have only done one 6k test during the fall season. What kind of strategies work best on 6k? I would imagine they are a bit more varied than the 2k strategies.
Thanks,
Ruderer

Re: Erg supplement for OTW Rowing
I haven't really gotten much of a training philosophy or plan out of my coach...is the only way to reduce the risk of overtraining...training less?

Erg supplement for OTW Rowing
Hey, My on the water rowing season starts tomorrow (Finally!) and I have been wondering how I could supplement my on the water training with some indoor training. I have two reasons for doing this...I was sick for 2-3 weeks, and mostly unable to train (now looking to make up lost ground), and I have...

Re: Effect of Erging with Slides on Static Erg scores
After spending some time on the UK forums I stumbled upon a thread that perfectly answered my question.
If anyone is interested it is right here:
http://concept2.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=23063
According to this slide rowing should be fine, with a couple of static sessions mixed in.

Re: Effect of Erging with Slides on Static Erg scores
Thanks for your reply,
If you trained on a dynamic/slide erg, would you feel well prepared for testing on static ergs?
This is essentially what I am trying to find out...I'm looking at the UK forums...but I can't find a "Search" button

Effect of Erging with Slides on Static Erg scores
Hey, I am a high school rower, and I will soon (hopefully) be acquiring my own Concept2 erg. At my school we do a lot of testing/training on static ergs, so results such as my 2k time are extremely important. I have only rowed on slides for a few minutes, for fun, but I could feel how it is much mor...
