Re: ErgData Testing With Samsung Galaxy A51
I have a Samsung Galaxy 9+ that ran well on the ergdata 168 version. I have tried all of the suggestions to make it connect. It detects the PMS but will not go any further and immediate sends a message to connect the PM5 once again. I am wondering if there are any other solutions. For the record, th...

Re: Theoretical optimal heart rates
I thank all for the responses and hope this thread continues to survive. With the discussion, it is clear that I have lots more to discover. MY entire cardiac history also involves a long history of statins due to genetic (plus diet) high cholesterol, high blood pressure, beta blockers, the stent, o...

Theoretical optimal heart rates
Finally taking care of myself, I just purchased a heart monitor to link up to the PM5. I am 69 years old with a stent in the LED artery (4 years ago) but appear to be doing well enough to get serious to train. Looking at the heart rates recommended by Mayo et al., they indicate that my limit to my o...

Figured it out. The wire that runs to the fan assembly has been severed....I guess I need to order another wire.

Re: 1st marathon (ever) attempt tomorrow...
Two weeks after the marathon, I have finally recovered to the levels of training I had prior to the attempt. Interesting that I felt fine the day after and even rowed 11K to flush out the lactates but the following day I was very fatigued. No real soreness but no power available in the legs. I took ...

Re: Another one on the weight loss train (or boat?)
I am four weeks on my rowing/diet and I weighed in 18 lbs lighter today at the doctor's office. I also have increased the intensity of my workouts. I now have hope that I can shed another 40 lbs in the next few months. B) For what its worth, according to the calorie calculator and my PM3 monitor, I...

Re: two questions 2k and 6k
It sounds to me that you are racing all of the time.......find a way to put in some longer rows 10K + so that your endurance will improve......that might help. Focus on technique at slower SPMs to groove your stroke...
Good luck!

Re: Half Marathon training tips?
For an HM you must drink and will want to eat something every 20 minutes or you risk hitting the wall. Can't agree with that. It may be necessary for some, but I find that tanking up on water well beforehand is plenty for the HM (not the FM however). As far as food is concerned, the digestive proce...

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
This is not a PB per se....but this looks like the bragging area, so here goes..... I started this season with only a few meters, a bad back, and a stent in my heart. 2 minor back procedures relieved the pain so that I could return to rowing. On December 27, I started my return to fitness. At that p...
