Re: Hooking up a PM4/5 to a non C2 rower
I asked HR if they could return it and get a C2. So they contacted the gym company they bought it from, and this was their reply. "The Stairmaster HIIT Rower was designed based on the Concept 2, but they refined with better features, adjustable console height, heavier gauge frame, etc...mush better ...

Re: Hooking up a PM4/5 to a non C2 rower
Will not work unless you can get the concept 2 flywheel on it as well or you will just get meaningless numbers that cannot be compared to the C2 as the mass and characteristics of the flywheel are part of the math that makes the C2 unique. Sell it and buy a C2 rower. Yeah, I figured the flywheel ha...

Re: Hooking up a PM4/5 to a non C2 rower
Our workplace just got a Stairmaster HIIT rower. https://corehandf.com/product/stairmaster-hiit-rower/ Wow - what a blatant ripoff that is of the C2 design. Does Stairmaster not have any shame? https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/51LKuJeZzxL._SX425_.jpg Well they did add water bottle h...

Re: Hooking up a PM4/5 to a non C2 rower
Oh I assumed I would also need to attach the cable and sensor that go with the PM4/PM5 as well. The cable that attaches to the Stairmaster monitor has an ethernet connector, so it wouldn't work anyway. The monitor shows things like stroke rate. Watts. Calories. Distance. Time. Pace. But I know it's ...

Hooking up a PM4/5 to a non C2 rower
Our workplace just got a Stairmaster HIIT rower. https://corehandf.com/product/stairmaster-hiit-rower/ It sort of has the feel of a Concept2, but the monitor that comes with it is lacking. I was wondering if anyone has tried hooking up a Concept2 monitor on another type of rower, and if it would the...

Source for used PM4's
The gym I go to has two Model E machines with PM4 monitors. One of the monitors stopped responding to pressing the buttons. I suspect it has to be replaced. The gym doesn't have a service contract on the machines and isn't willing to shell out the $130 for a new one. I am willing to replace it mysel...

Re: Left/right side stroke imbalance
I never thought of the arm length issue, and have never had mine checked. I wonder if being skewed like that would lead to favoring on leg over another?

Re: Left/right side stroke imbalance
Thanks for the reply. I've had my leg length checked a few times over the years, and that's never been an issue. Something is out of whack though, it seems I usually end up sitting crooked on my seat by the end of my sessions. The mystery continues.

Left/right side stroke imbalance
How can you find out if you're stroke is imbalanced on the erg, i.e. you use one side of your body more than the other during a stroke? I would imagine on the water it would be more apparent, but I'm not a water rower. I'm sure there are some slight natural imbalances due to being left or right side...

Nice! Not sure how I missed you guys last year, but I'll be looking for you this year! I think perhaps I was distracted by the smells of the BBQ that is also going on nearby at the same time. ![Razz :P](./images/smilies/icon_razz.gif)

Re: Resistance on new black model D
I started a post just like this when I first got my Model E for home. I said it felt like it was a lot harder to row than the well used Model E at the gym, given the same drag factor. Everyone said it was all in my head. So where were you guys back then who are now saying the same thing that I said?...

Re: New iPhone app Concept2 Indoor Rower: "ErgData"
Cool idea, but as mentioned above, I'd like to see it either work with a log card inserted, or have the ability to store workouts on it and download them to the PM.

Re: PM4 Firmware Upgrade
Thanks for the tips, Scott. Sorry about associating the full log card with the firmware upgrade. Both happened to take place at the same time, and I just assumed that deleting workouts alone would take care of the space issue. Regarding the HR monitor, this morning it initially didn't detect it agai...

Re: PM4 Firmware Upgrade
Same thing here. V317
Since upgrading, it doesn't seem to want to hang on to my HR monitor settings, even though I choose the option to save it to the log card each time. And finally, even after deleting workouts, it still says my log card is full. I finally had to reformat the card.
