Re: Lightweight Rower
we only go on the water twice a week so erging does not really interfere with that That's surprising to me. Most Uni programs have the rowers on the water 6 days a week. Bob S. you do realize it is february.................. you know that time where it is really cold and in most places the water is...

Erg Shoes
I'm looking for shoes that are best for erging, I do not want to row strapless because of blisters, so Ideally I want sturdy shoes that are durable but have a thin bottom so there isn't any lost force from my legs to the footboard. I do have one pair of shoes that have thin soles, but to me it just ...

Re: 1500m/2K 1x race plan (copied from uk thread)
I find that to be a little bit complicated, that looks like super negative splitting to me if you keep upping your sr every 500, I personally like start sequence --> lengthen --> at 500 / 750/ 1000 make a big move ---> see how much you have left at the end. I like to remain in contact with leaders, ...

Re: Lifting or erging?
No no no no no. Lift at most 2 times a week and erg 6 times a week. If you are trying to get recruited and be successful you need to put in miles on the erg. Lifting does not really help you out, we need to be fast on the erg and the water, not be able to lift weights like football players. Lifting...

NO WAY!!!! Thats my gym! thats awesome. What club will you be rowing out of? Im from east end rowing. I train all year round for junior races, I also have a coach that might be able to give you a hand. And if you do any 2ks on the ergo, I suggest doing them at a stroke rate of 32ish. Many novices a...

Re: How's my form?
Uhm where perhaps do you live? that looks exactly like my gym is laid out. And you look very good for the first couple of sessions, one suggestion however that would help improving boat speed, not necessarily erg speed, would be to make sure you get your body all the way forward before you start the...
