Re: Rowing = Horizontal Deadlift ?
I recently saw the indoor rowing stroke described as a Horizontal Deadlift and was wondering if that is an accurate description as I know nothing about deadlifts. I've always been very wary of doing deadlifts and weighted squats, tend to row and cycle and single leg squats. As somebody whose backgr...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
Probably 15 seconds right now... I'm better at middle distance pieces relative to 2ks. Once late December gets here and I switch over to shorter stuff I'm hoping to close that gap. Doubt I can ever get back to 6:21. Good luck mate; im personally just gunning for 7 minutes at this stage (started erg...

Hardly washed up then eh? Considering your pace for 3x13' is faster than that of the fastest 5000m by a LWT male (19-29) this year...anderss wrote:3 x 13'

Re: workouts to drop 2k???
Also my wording was a bit weird: - Abs/core everyday (strong core means bigger weights means better growth/power); you dont need a PT to start this, crunchies every day - not much fun but will work - Squats/Deadlifts (or anything that fundamentally works your quads/hammys/glutes) are the key to your...

Re: workouts to drop 2k???
Sounds like your endurance is where it needs to be but you're lacking in power. Without knowing what you are currently doing i'd say shift your priorities from long slow training sessions to shorter fast (high number of reps) training sessions. Also if you dont already start thinking about weights; ...

Re: Recording meters in online logbook
I actually put in each rep seperately so I can track how I was accross reps also, it works since im never training twice a day so just group by day when I export (if i need to). For example I can look at my second week of training and see where I went wrong: Day one: 3x11' UT1 2780; 2725; 2668 Day t...

Is pushing it going to help or hinder?
Hi guys, I've recently really got into erging, I have a dodgy knee so got into erging via giving up running, and havent looked back since. (FYI: 29yr male, 76-77kg) So I thought just for a bit of fun and motivation I thought I would follow the interactive 2,000m training guide to see how low I could...
