John, thanks for the suggestion on the PM3. I will think about that. And thanks for the article on vertigo. Whoa. I guess the astronaut training program is definitely a no-go. But I'm not disappointed. I have every confidence that Jim will have us rowing to the moon and beyond before long.

John, I also have been reading the cycling thread with interest and I hardly even ride. I got into it for a while when I was doing triathlons - when I was reducing my running (because of injuries) but still wanted to compete in endurance events. But reading that topic has started me thinking more ab...

John, congratulations on your PB for a 1 hr row. Guess you'll have to update your signature now.<br />I spent a lot of yesterday watching the CRASHB webcast, which was pretty inspiring.<br />Has anybody on The Eh! Team participated in one of these indoor rowing competitions?<br />I started off yeste...

Okay Jim, you seem to be really good at this. We also rowed past something that looks like a big crater. At 22-38-50 N and 12-34-00 W, inside this crater is Guelb Seyala. I looked it up and it's a mountain, which at first confused me because I thought I was looking at a crater, not a mountain. But a...

I'll take another shot at 300m this weekend - I row before work on weekdays and I know I'd pull my back if I tried a 300m race first thing in the morning.<br />Also looks like we need some company for Scott, our Cajun contingent. Scott, just tell 'em free gumbo. You'll fill that boat in no time.

Jim, I want to add my thanks for all your efforts improving the interface to Google Earth.<br /><br />Welcome Brigitte. I just did a quick internet search on "hoser" in German and found this:<br /><<As a Canadian of German origin, maybe I can help. Hose in German is<br />"Schlauch." Hence a "hoser" ...

Well, I can't keep up with most of you, but I'm happy to post that I improved my CTC 300m time from 59.4 to 58.0. Still feel there is room for improvement - still trying to feel my way through how my body wants to do this.<br />Last week, I tried at damper 5, and then I tried at damper 6, and was a ...

Whoa Jim. All this desert rowing and not a beer in sight.<br /><br />If you want to really get scared, check out <a href="http://andyinmauritania.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">http://andyinmauritania.blogspot.com/</a> <br />"we tried some homemade millet beer, which wasn't too bad for fermenting po...

Eh! y'all. I changed my mind and took a crack at the CTC sooner than I expected. So we have at least one full boat. I guess watching the Olympics on TV inspired me. I never did a sprint distance before. Until now, my fastest pace was when I was racing a 2K. I didn't realize how foreign it would be t...

The Eh! Team CTC boat: Kajnsooner isn't me. I do plan to put in an attempt at this challenge, but not this weekend - just recovering from a little bug. I think next weekend.

Thanks John. I'll look into some of these challenges. <br />And I'll look forward to someone picking the beer per K challenge - not sure how long I'd last though.

The only rowing racing I've done is by posting 2K and 5K times on the rankings. This year's postings were a little slower than last year's because I wasn't as inclined to push as hard for a time. But I don't know anything about the CTC.<br />Can you tell me how to find out more?<br /><br />After you...
