Re: Pete Plan Thread

Hi Bob I’m the same with mountain biking which is my other sport. I try and get out for a ride every week. The rowing has been very complementary in terms of general fitness for riding. Also rowing is so much more convenient as I have a C2 in the garage. I’d never get out on the bike 5 days a week....

Forgot to mention, I am now down to 92kg according to the gym scales. That is roughly a 12kg drop since I started in July (26lbs across the pond); I'm more motivated by increasing fitness and lowering times but that shows that I've been working hard at least.
Congrats on the weight loss!

Re: Pete Plan Thread

BPP 11.1: 10,000m - @2:08.5. Felt good, mostly around 21spm, pushed the pace slightly at the end to dip under 43 minutes. Feels good to have done my first ever 10k! BPP11.2: 8x500m, 2min rest - overall pace 1:50.9. Splits: 1:51.9 1:51.8 1:51.7 1:51.6 1:51.4 1:51.3 1:51.2 1:46.8 I realised a few day...

Re: Pete Plan Thread

Do any of you guys do extra sessions on top of the PP? or do you think it weakens the interval days if you do? If you do, what do you do? Just more SS very low intensity?? I used to do just the Speed and Endurance intervals. Lately, I've added two 10Ks at a lower intensity (see prior post) So I'm o...

Re: Pete Plan Thread

Horrific is a perfectly executed Pyramid! Awesome work and huge improvements. Thanks, Mike. I appreciate the comments and feedback. It was a scrap for sure. The Pyramid is pure evil when you find the right pace. The first half guy writes checks that you're hoping the second half guy can cash

PP, Cycle 5, Week 2 The Pyramid. Target was 1:41. Yikes. Started off too slow on the first 250. That one is hard to dial in sometimes tho The 1K, 750, 500 stretch was horrific. ---------------2018-06-17----2018-07-09----2018-08-06----2018-08-26----2018-09-30----- 250------------01:45.0--------01:45....

Good work, everyone! I had a lot of travel this week so not much to report.

Today I did a 10K at 2:25. I'll resume the PP tomorrow or Monday with the Pyramid

Re: Pete Plan Thread

@ Bob - solid times, especially for an endurance interval. Your aerobic is coming along nicely. Thanks, Mike! Question is, do you guys find this a REALLY hard session? or perhaps because I didn't have a rest day yesterday it was tougher than I expected. I've been trying to make every interval on PP...
