Re: My 100km row for charity : A "How not to but still somehow" guide
Wow, Awesome. Love to read this. That pace is really really really incredible. I'll add some extra tips if you dont mind. What I did to avoid the monitor turning off was setting interval training consisting of 10kms rows then 1 minute rest. The only exception was after 50 kms. There I had 5 mins rest...

Re: ERGData+PM3+HR sensor and workout date question
Oh wow I just saw it. I apologize, how dumb. I saw the bpm in the split table from the pm5 log but it was not on the pm3 table so I took for granted that it didn't upload. But it's there in the graph!!! Thanks a lot!!

Re: ERGData+PM3+HR sensor and workout date question
Ok, finally I bought a HR band. The other day I was in decathlon and saw a band compatible with ANT and bluetooth that was only 35€, so I bought it. Tested it on a PM5 and everything worked great. Could see the HR on the PM5 and on the ErgData app. I updloaded the workout to the C2 logbook and every...

Re: Not getting much force from my legs
As you think, the curve shows you are doing something (or quite a few things) wrong. Close your eyes and row unstrapped. Just worry about rowing without falling off. That will fix a lot of things, including pace, too high spm and engagement of the legs. Hopefully you'll figure out quite a few things...

Re: ERGData+PM3+HR sensor and workout date question
No, I didn't see any prompt on the PM3 :( But maybe it showed and I didnt see it because it was all very strange. The cable coming from the erg was somehow pinned in the USB-B (the printer one), instead of the other. Actually I pulled the chain and the PM didnt turn on. That made me think there was ...

Re: Newbie: Eating crisps (chips) and starting to row
My piece of advice is, don't worry about building aerobic, worry about building good habbits through motivation. And don't hurry, just take it easy. Building a big belly takes some time. Getting rid of it will take a while too. A conservative plan could be: Rowing: Week 1: Row 5 mins a day. Spend 15...

Re: ERGData+PM3+HR sensor and workout date question
Ty for answers. Citroen, I think you are linking gadgets to connect the belt to the PM3, which I guessed too it was not an good option. That is why i was thinking of linking it directly to the app. If that works as CJ says. I may just link it there and see the HR on my phone screen instead of the PM...

ERGData+PM3+HR sensor and workout date question
There are only PM3's on my gym. Recently I bought a microusb -to- USB typeB cable so I can connect my phone to the erg. That way I can read the info with the ERGData app and I can upload it to the c2 logbook. Everything works great. I was wondering, if I buy a heart rate sensor, lets say a polar h10...

Re: Where does a newbie start?
Watch this 2 videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSbFF-DOXZo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ura2mFCdvVs Focus on technique and how to row properly. Don't worry much about how fast/strong you row. Think of the rowing machine as some tool to build both physical and mental strength. Try to row at ...

Re: New erg feeling DF
Thanks a lot for all your replies. I assumed part of the pace decrease was on heat and different environment, but not all of it. After reading about the cord and so, something came to my mind. I had not oiled the chain. I was thinking I was suppose to oil it every few months or so but didn't know i...

New erg feeling DF
After 2.5 years rowing at the gym I just bought a new c2 erg. Erg works great but there is something that is bugging me a lot. My splits speed has gone down a lot. I assume part of it, around 3 to 5 secs could be heat (which also limits sessions length) but I also noticed an unexpected 7 to 10 secs ...

Re: Building endurance base / MHR
That's a relief Stu, still shocking but good :). James, I don't have a HR Monitor, just borrowed one of those i-watches to check it out once, so just like Stu says, I have to do it "by feel". And Allan, rowing the same session day after day is not a problem, doing it at the same time, well that is f...

Re: Building endurance base / MHR
Mmm I don't know if my heart is a mess but when I read you can row at 2:09 at only 134 bpm I just freak out. I just don't know if I should take it easier on the erg or if it's just a question of HR max. Let's say a steady hour on the erg is at 2:10 for whoever. When you finish it, do you feel deplet...
