Thanks to all who replied. What worked the best was 100 grit sandpaper. Had no issues whatsoever after that treatment.

LCD darkness default level
Would very much like to know how to set the default LCD darkness level to around a 40 setting. Half of the ergs that we use have a default of about a 100 which is too dim to be able to read. Thanks very much. BIRC
