I had this issue when using a Polar HR monitor with my PM5 that I also had paired with my iPhone. When I deleted the iPhone pairing (in my cyclemeter app), heart rate began displaying on my PM5 and in ErgData on my iPhone.

This is the official answer from Concept: This error can happen if the device goes out of range and the PM5 has trouble delivering Bluetooth notifications.

I have an email in with them. I'm not too concerned or I would have called. More curious than anything.
