Curiously, the time has disappeared from the results list... Make of that what you will.
Just seen that it’s been reinstated, very strange
It's "official" now

Well, I broke 3:20 (3:18.5), so I'm pleased. But it turns out that I'm 41s behind the winner at 2:37.5! Insane!
That 2:37.5 would be a new world record right?

Re: World strongman tries the concept

That was actually hilariously bad. Obviously he would be elite with improved form, but I think his relatively short height (6"1') would limit him a bit.

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!

#WRICH Final for Lightweight Men...racing against Olympians and professionals. I stuck to my plan and hit a new PB by 1.7s. Gutted not to get under 6:50 but I'll get that next time Thanks to John Davies for his coaching and support. Big shout out to the crew in The Delivery Room team. https://i.pos...

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!

As a couple of you know, I was entering the 500m at Canadian Nationals today. I had 2 goals: 1. win 2. establish a legitimate 500m pb. Unfortunately, the internet gods had other ideas and I was removed from the race due to connection issues. I rowed it anyway to at least check off #2. Reasonably ha...

Best of luck everyone. My gf is entering the 500m competition :D She won (30-39) with a PB of 1:32.0 :D Blimey...that's a great time! Congrats to her. Thanks! I'll be helping her train for the World Champs. More to come from her hopefully as she hasn't done a great deal of focused training on the r...

Re: Hello all - very tall newbie here

In an effort to establish a baseline from which to train, I pushed my 2000m pb a bit to 6:47.9 (17 second reduction). Not a full-on, balls-out effort and shoulders were a little tired from push pressing before hand, but close enough. Completely fresh, I'd maybe have 6:40 in there. I also had a most...

Re: Hello all - very tall newbie here

Had a second pop at 5000m today and got my time down to 18:06. Maintained a pretty steady 1:49.8 until the last 700m and went for it from there and shaved off about 12 seconds. That was a challenge though This is a great row. We are probably of similar stature, I'm a little shorter than you but cur...

Check out the video below, 5:55 in. He got 1:14 https://youtu.be/35Gf5Gmm9Mw He looks like he's on a kids toy  Really making the best of it B) . Nice long arm action. He can’t get around spreading his legs. But this is a good example of showing how fast 1.15 is. He really went for it, and got ...

Re: Hello all - very tall newbie here

The 1:15 goal may be unrealistic. The rowing table on Sugden Barbell has a couple of guys at or just beyond that level, but being a forum for strength athletes, I guess there will always be a bias towards faster times for shorter distances. Have these been verified results on a Concept 2? The WR is...
