Wil my butt ever stop hurting?
Dumb question . I'm 3 weeks into BPP. Been rowing for a few months prior (71K season meters so far) Every time I do a long row (5K+), my backside is hurting the most of anything in my body. Its the one thing that makes me want to stop by far. It's not chafing or nerve pain but just muscle soreness a...

Can I do Pete's Beginner plan at 2X per week?
Hello,
Can I do Pete's Beginner plan at 2X per week instead of 3X a week? I figured I would go step by step through the plan insread of by week. In other words, it would take me 3 weeks to get through his first 2 weeks (6 workouts, 2x per week).
Any thoughts?

Re: Tired all the time Newbie
I want to thank everyone for the great feedback. I was very helpful. A couple of thoughts as I digest the comments: I agree that I probably should lower my typical heart rate in the 135 area. I am generally over that. I certainly can not keep a conversation! I'll get a general panel blood test to ch...

What does using the USB memory stick get me?
If I use a USB memory stick on the C2 PM5 what does it get me?
Does it keep me from having to turn on the ANT setting for my Garmin HR monitor?
Are there other advantages? Today without it, I use ERG App and find it works great to sync to my log.

Re: Tired all the time Newbie
I'm doing the Darkhorse rowing program. Every workout is different. Some are relatively easy, other are hard. Most total around 5-6K total. On average it's about 45 minutes of time, 2x week. My heart rate hovers around 155 for most of it. One a rare occasion I'll hit MHR 170. I don't do any other ex...

Tired all the time Newbie
I have started rowing twice a week for the past couple months. I have noticed that I feel like I am tired a lot of the time. Is this normal for a newbie? It takes about 3 days to feel like I am recovered. By then, I hit the C2 again and I'm tired and slightly sore (good sore) until about three days ...

Anyone from Connecticut that could give me a lesson
Is there anyone in southwest Connecticut that I could pay to give me a lesson? I'd love to have someone that was experienced watched my form and give me some tips. I have 85K meters under my belt but I'm not totally sure of my form.

Joe

Re: How to keep pace constant
James....Here is my latest row. 3 back to back 10 min rows with higher and higher stroke rates. https://log.concept2.com/profile/1142604/log/30567953 It looks like I am rowing around 100 watts. I should be rowing at 150-200? I don't know how I could do that! Do you think I could get there by techniq...

Re: How to keep pace constant
Hi James.
I am 6'-2", 47yr old, 216lbs.
What do you mean that it is too small? Do you mean I need to have a longer stroke?

Re: Arms feel like doing more than my legs
HI James,
Can you explain the following ".....Check stroke quality using the ratio Watts/Rating. 10 is a good target.".
How do I do this calculation? Is it on the PM screen already and I'm not noticing it?
Many thanks for your advice.

How to keep pace constant
I just did a exercise where I needed to keep a constant pace at a constant s/m over a 10 minute row. Eg. 24 s/m at 2:31 pace. I found it took me a minure or two into it to get the s/m pace down but the pace was kinda jumpy. It would jump all around between 2:27-2:34. Is this normal? Can I get better...

Learned how to swing hips today
Sort of newbie here. Have about 64K meters under my belt. I did a drill that helped me open up my hips. The drill is arms away and then arms and body away. I had a hard time getting my torso to 11 oclock on the catch. I realize that I needed to spread my knees apart just slightly to help free up my ...
