Ranger update?
Anybody have one? Did he nail a marathon in 1:48? I can't seem to find him anywhere in the 2011 C2 rankings. Maybe he forgot to log it there? :D I find myself checking this message board way less frequently since the ranger's training thread was locked. I miss the pathetic lying little old man' s po...

Re: Ranger's training thread
This morning so far, 15K OTErg, 1:48 @ 21 spm (13 SPI). To join in with everyone else: No you didn't. This is an outright lie. You've said repeatedly that this is a thread for discussing training. Lying about it is the absolute antithesis of discussion. Hence you have 4 hours to admit to and apolog...

Rich: I THINK I'LL GO BACK TO LURKING HERE... THERE'S NOTHING LEFT TO BE SAID UNTIL YOU COME UP WITH SOME REAL RESULT... Wanna bet, mikvan52? You are probably number 2 by far in posts in this thread. I will bet you $1.00 that you can't go 2 weeks without posting. And unlike that little lying pathet...

Fitness is the Cureton family business. http://depts.washington.edu/bhdept/facres/Thomas_Cureton_Jr_Berryman_J.pdf ranger Interesting read. I liked: 1. when your dad lectures "nobody ever graduates from the school of physical conditioning. Either you continue working or you go downhill." Very true....

Re: Ranger's training thread
Where is your proof that EE tapes down his erg? ... eight. ranger Eight minutes for a 2K OTE?! Don't sell yourself short. You can do better than eight minutes OTE for a 2K. Isn't your recent best 2K a 7:02.3? Why I bet right now you could do a 7:15 or so without any sharpening! You're good enough, ...

Re: Ranger's training thread
ranger, I just checked out this clip of you from 2 months ago - Jun 9, 2011: http://www.youtube.com/user/rcureton#p/u/0/GNpx8Gvr2fE Is it just me, or is the ERG chain jumping all over the place? I always try to keep the chain straight, where it looks like you are up and down on the return stroke. I ...

So what date have you pencilled in for the FM? Soon ! comming up any moment, like it is for yearsssssssssssssss now :P  When it happens, it happens. Training isn't mechanical and predictable, especially _good_ training. Your body needs to learn what you are teaching it. How long does that take...

Re: Ranger's training thread
When I complete the FM @ 1:48, this discussion will be put to rest, at least in its present tenor. A FM @ 1:48 is a solid predictor for a 6:16/1:34 2K. So. With a FM @ 1:48 in hand, it will be clear that, when all is said and done, and I am fully prepared to race a 2K, my chances of pulling 6:16/1:...

Re: Ranger's training thread
Does it make you feel as bad as your recent 7:03 2k row? This performance should not make you feel bad - that is a decent ERG score for a little old man.ranger wrote: Lifting weights just makes me feel bad.
