Re: World Records
"Cheers Mike, unfortunately I may have a battle on my hands to get them recognised as it appears C2 are only retrospectively using verified times and none of these times were verified at the time. FWIW they did'nt need to be then as none of them were a 50-59 British records, so I never bothered, jus...

Re: World Records
I would suggest anyone else just check, even if you're already credited as a little surprised they published this incomplete with a 'lessor' time. Wow! Some very impressive scores there Rich! Cheers Mike, unfortunately I may have a battle on my hands to get them recognised as it appears C2 are only...

Re: World Records
I asked a question of C2 about the British Records and have been told they are going through a process of trawling through verified scores in the online logs to establish initial record holders for each event at the new 5 (mid) age groups. No timescales given, but if you think you may have erg'd a ...

Re: Bomb proof Model E, not
Just a heads up for all those with a model E, check underneath where the front leg assembly attaches to the box frame. https://www.concept2.com/files/pdf/us/indoor-rowers/E_AssemblyInstrux_Previous.pdf To make sure that I understand properly, referring to the Step #1 image in the PDF file at the li...

Bomb proof Model E, not
Just a heads up for all those with a model E, check underneath where the front leg assembly attaches to the box frame. Went to lift mine out of the garage for a clean and maintenance and the front leg assembly dropped down. Only held onto the box frame by 2 bolts not 4 as the flange on top of the le...

Re: World Records
You doing much on the erg Rich? On and off Nick, I keep thinking about having a crack at the 65-69 2k BR, mainly as I've never held a 2k record  and just turned 65. But everytime I seem to get back into the habit of training, something comes along to 'distract/disrupt' the habit and at our ag...

Re: World Records
Interesting. They are also doing similar for British Records as I've been 'credited' for a couple in the 55-59 age category which I never knew I had :D I guess other country national records will be revised 65-69 Mhwt seems a little 'light', only 4' and 2k. May think about a comeback just to get a f...

Re: World Indoors - tips, suggestions, etc
Get there uber early as its your first time to check out the lie of the land. Where to warm up, where the toilets are etc et al. You should be drinking plenty of liquids and there's normally a que for the toilets so bare that in mind. Your training should give you an idea of what time to expect and ...

Re: Sub 7 Indoor Rowing Club (UK)
Thought I'd pop in to see if anyone's about. Anyone who has a current British record, check out my thread in 'Competition'. C2 uk have dropped the ball, is the politest way I can put it just incase Dougie is still alive :D For my part not really been training for competition for the last couple of y...

British Record dates incorrect on Concept 2 uk site
Ladies and gents, I've noticed on the UK Concept 2 website that some of the year dates attributed to the corresponding British record are incorrect. I've alerted info@concept2.co.uk, 'Dan' has been my contact. On checking my current British records I found some still have the correct year but 5 didn...

Re: Eddie Fletcher step test 2k predictor
Cheers Glen, sort of what I had figured as my 4' av pace of 1:38.3 would suggest my 2k predicted time would be 6:33.2, which whilst would be nice is a tadge quicker than where I think I am atm by about 3-4 seconds. Although proof in the pudding would be to do a full on 2k sometime soon to see I supp...

Eddie Fletcher step test 2k predictor
Just done the 'TEST ONE' step test from Eddie Fletchers Indoor Rowing Marathon Plan to get my max HR for my next training plan and noticed that 'step 5', "gives a predicted 2k time" (presumably the pace/500m figure). Thought I'd enquire on the forum if anyone has used it and how accurate is it? I've...

Re: Sub 7 Indoor Rowing Club (UK)
"Glad you're not feeling too bad. Will expect to see you back at it in two or three years when you hit 65.......if not before!" I have to be philosophical about it, it was my own fault really although I will be dropping World rowing a line on it sometime as they should cover restart procedures. It's...

Re: Sub 7 Indoor Rowing Club (UK)
Cheers Mike, yep probably my own fault for being too professional   The last two false starts I’ve been involved with at BRIC have taken an age to get restarted, mainly as all the erg flywheels are needed to stop again. Subsequently the 2nd time it happened I learnt to get off the erg and...

Re: Sub 7 Indoor Rowing Club (UK)
Hi Guys and gals, popped on board to have a look at my post post BRIC20 just to check if the race plan was the same as I remembered. Hopefully produce similar today. Best of luck to Carol. I wondered where you were Rod. Yep I'm considering similar, seriously thinking of having a break from 2k racing...
