Re: TimbukTOO Team Room
I am just getting back into the erging. I had surgery for the tendinitis in my right hand middle and index fingers a few months back.it sidelined me- stayed active on AMT and ARC- along with weights when the right hand allowed it. 30-35 minutes on the erg a day for now seems to be ok- am working on ...

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room
I'm dealing with tendinitis. It's in my hands.it's a better diagnosis than the degenerative arthritis that I initially thought I had, but as far as rowing goes the only thing that's going to cure this is rest. So unless if I can modify my grip on the handle, i'll be doing a lot more of my exercise o...

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room
Izzie,
That is still a world class time for a guy your age- and with tendonitis no less.
Congrats!

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room
Those were crullers- and we both fried some and baked some. I have been on vacation in SF and also am resting- trying to recover from some tendinitis in my hands. Resisted the temptation to row at the JCC in SF-worked out on their Adaptive Motion Trainers- ATM for short. Feasted on some regional Chi...

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room
Lisa,
Thanks for everything you have done and continue to do.
This virtual world requires different social behaviors, but in the real world you would be the type of person who I would value as a friend.

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room
Regarding my dogs: although Muriel ( the collie) is intelligent and intuitive, I dont think she perceives that Rhubarb ( the Basset Hound) is deaf. In terms of intelligence, Collies and Bassets are at opposite ends of the spectrum. Rhubarb is a scent hound, and tends to walk slowly. Muriel is a herd...

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room
Why I row: among other things that I like to eat- and that my daughter enjoys to make- she is a chef in real life:

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room
Thanks for your help with that- Flickr is the way to go. Muriel is the Collie and Rhubarb is the Basset- she is completely deaf- had bilateral ear canal ablations a few years ago- the longer she lives- the better the investment turns out :D And speaking of middle finger problems-- they can be overco...

The file is too big, maximum allowed size is 128 KiB.
That is the message I get when trying to upload from my laptop.

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room
Lisa, Sorry about your flu- rest and fluids will help. I started using my gloves again- but the tendonitis in my middle finger requires either rest or al the least, rowing in a way that does not involve pulling with a routine grip- so for now I am pulling with the outside edge and the pinky and ring...

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room
I will have to limp to the finish line if there is any hope of hitting goal for this challenge- had to modify grip to avoid stretch/stress on my thumbs and right middle finger tendons- a very narrow grip holding on to the bar using the outside of my palm- gripping bar with ring finger and pinky. Wil...

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room
I need to learn how to post pictures. Bassets were bred to run all day (!) at a slow pace through heavy underbrush, tracking game. My first Basset, Sophie, once jumped over a couch I had. I was sitting on the couch, facing the fireplace, and I was startled by Sophie, flying over the couch close to w...

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room
I have had 3 Bassets-over the years- they are awesome family pets-very heavy boned so when they sit in your lap you feel it- but they are quite athletic if you keep them trim. They love food and will eat anything. The best way to kill a Basset Hound is to throw a large ham on the floor- and it will ...
