Re: Breathing question
First, thanks for all the great guidance. Today, I started 2 breaths per stroke when my HR reached 150. I set a PB by 4 meters, but was up 66 meters from last week. I could have done even better but I started out too slowly since I didn't know how it would work out for me. Next week I will try to do...

Re: Breathing question
Nomath, Wow! These two articles have blown my mind. I never realized just how ignorant I am about this whole breathing thing. I will study the articles when I have not had a glass of wine.

Re: Breathing question
Okay, 2 breaths it will be. I take that to mean 2 quick breaths during the recovery phase and hold my breath during the pull. Is that correct?

Re: Breathing question
The Pete Plan suggests day 5 as "Fast". My PB is 2:21.2 @ 25 spm, Today was 24 spm.mitchel674 wrote: ↑March 25th, 2022, 12:49 pmWas your 60 minute piece today a time trial for you or is that a standard steady state row for your training?

Breathing question
I have been rowing on and off for over 20 years but I have never had any training. I am a 72 y.o. male who is 67" (170cm) tall and weighs 132 lbs (60 kg). A year ago, I started and completed the Pete Plan for Beginners and have completed 7 rotations of the Pete Plan since then (thanks, Pete!). I hav...

Re: RowPro Replacement
It has been almost 3 months since I started this thread and I have completed 6 weeks with Krew. I am using Krew to run the Pete Plan for Beginners (PPB). Krew offers a lot more but I am enjoying PPB for now. I strongly suggest people take a look at Krew.

Re: RowPro Replacement
What does it do for me that would make me want to buy it? Does it offer training plans to help me attain my goals based on my fitness level? Does it automatically add specific rows into my PM so I don't have to add them manually? Does it offer more than pretty cartoons on the screen? Thanks for any ...

Re: RowPro Replacement
I don't row online. I used RowPro for the semi-individualized workouts being added to the PM, to benchmark against myself and to upload my data to C2. My issues with the 5.7 version of RowPro were that I wasn't wild about the GUI but, more importantly, I didn't see an option for setting my MHR. Ther...

RowPro Replacement
Can anyone suggest a great replacement for RowPro? It has become too much trouble to continue using. I tried the latest version of RowPro and didn't care for it so I am looking for options. I looked at Row Forge and it seems to offer the features I want but there aren't many reviews and I would have...

Re: RowPro 5.7.3
I tend to ask questions here because I can get answers on a timely basis. Whereas Pete takes too long and I understand that he is basically a one-man-band. Now, I need to decide if I want to stay with v5.7.3. On another note, I noticed that Carl has been 53 since at least 2010 and want to know his s...
