Carl, my thoughts exactly.
I've tried several times to get it on right, and really wanted it to work. But not enough to tape the thing down, figure out how to thread it under the bridges and cut it to fit.
Maybe you're right, I should try to return it. Thanks!

Anyone interested in a C-breeze?
I got the C-Breeze for my Model D Concept 2 indoor rower, but don't have the patience required to fiddle with getting it attached. It's more complicated than I expected. Seems like it would be a great accessory for a model C. Anyone interested it it, either for a Model C or with some effort, another...

Re: Does anyone have/use a C-Breeze?
OK, now I see that. Having tried it, I can see it takes a little finagling, but looks like it should work. Will go home and look into it. Thanks!

Does anyone have/use a C-Breeze?
I've got a stupid question. Stupid, stupid, stupid. Bought a c-breeze because I stumbled across a recommendation and they looked great. I thought it was named because of it's "c" shape, and it's a good pun. Didn't cross my mind that it's only made for model c. I have a model d indoor rower. The c-br...

Re: What am I doing wrong?
I've got an idea, which might explain why I'm not seeing the speed gains I'd like either. I've read that it's hard to lose fat and gain muscle at the same time. Does anyone here know much about that? Could calorie restriction hold rowers back from gains in speed? What I've read is that you should do...

Re: What am I doing wrong?
Take my advice with a grain of salt - you've been rowing much longer than I have, and I'm not improving as fast as I'd like either. Buuutttt, what I am doing to improve, and what seems to have some effect is pushing myself harder, bit by bit. At first I'd do a set of "power 10" or "power 20" strokes...
Rest days
How much rest do you need / take? In a way I don't feel I'm training hard or fast enough to really need much rest, and have been taking just about a day a week off rowing. Usually taking a brisk walk on off days. But today I skipped rowing in the morning after a solid week, and I feel so blah. Legs ...

Re: The Pete Plan and working motherhood, is it possible?
Yes, that's exactly what I needed to hear to give me something to work with. Now if I can get over this cold I'll be more willing to really push myself. Keep reminding me that intervals are the way to speed and a better VO2 max!

Re: The Pete Plan and working motherhood, is it possible?
Thanks Greg, those are good suggestions! Intervals are a kind of training I need structure and help with. Like the looks of the PP. And if I stick to it, dropping the number of intervals if need be, I'll be golden. You're right, it's not really so much more time. Just a little intimidating to me. Bu...

GD push-ups. I suspected as much.
Thanks for the link! 100 is more than I aspire to, but 10 now and then, building to more, is do-able.
Now if I can summon the motivation.

Vain question - rowing and chest muscles
Please let me apologize in advance for a stupid question: I've gotten into rowing after losing 25+ lbs on weight watchers. WW inspired me to get more active, and so far I love rowing! Everything's going well. Only problem is that now that I'm on the skinnier side, my chest is looking a little bony. ...

The Pete Plan and working motherhood, is it possible?
I'm in the honeymoon phase with my C-2. Nearly all my rows have been fun, and my body feels great. Better on the days I row than the ones I don't. Totally in love! I've been at it seriously for about 3 weeks, 4 x 40 min and 2 x 70 min every week. Some intervals, but mainly steady rowing. I'd like to...

Re: Introduce yourself
Hi all! Looks like a lot of us newbies, great! I bought my C-2 in a fit about 9 months ago. I was recovering from a running injury to both ankles and finally accepted that marathon running wasn't going to work for my body. Accepting that I was never going to run was really hard. I didn't take to the...

Re: Newbie looking for suggestions and support
Thanks for the help guys. I figured out my drag factor (was 93, I adjusted to 103) and did the interval cross team challenge. Which eviscerated what swagger I had worked up from a couple good weeks of rowing. 5 minute pieces are flipping hard! Best I could manage was a hard start and finish, and try...

Re: Newbie looking for suggestions and support
Thanks for the link, I'll have to look into what the current drag factor on my machine is. How often do you need to check it, dust accumulation and all. Once a month, or less? The cross team challenge looks great! Once I really figure out how to program my PM4 (I'm on the model D) I'll start enterin...
