Re: Shoulder Tendonitis
Tendonitis can be a total nightmare if not treated with the proper respect. I've had forearm tendonitis from OTW rowing for about 6 months. Acupuncture and serious rest have been the only things that did anything to mine at all (Cortisone shot - nothing after a few days, ice - nothing, physio - pret...

This is possibly my favourite Ranger quote of all time. Gotta love those powerful catches.ranger wrote: In terms of power, my catches are _enormously_ better.

Re: Ranger's training thread
But the Ramada Plaza I am staying at has a nice fitness room and pool which I have been using for two hours each morning, to keep my fitness up. An hour on the treadmill and then an hour in the pool yesterday. An hour on the elliptical and then an your in the pool today. I am keeping my normal sche...

Re: Looking to pull the trigger, some questions...
I bought a Waterrower a few years ago to replace my C2 for exactly the same reason. Whilst quiet and with a nice catch feel, the main problem is the monitor is totally useless. The C2 monitor only has to contend with air and bearing friction and as these are generally constant it can accurately calc...

Some good items already. I'd add in air squats with focus on the hip drive.

Re: A Project Management Approach to Lightweight Rowing
1. Your power on the erg is dependent on the power you can maintain, but not dependent on your body weight, whereas the number of pullups you can do is definitely a factor of both, so having a fixed target independent of weight does not seem consistent to me. Title says lightweight rowing so you'd ...

Re: Ranger's training thread
If you don't know that, you're a bozo. This doesn't make any sense. It was you who said you would do a video of 50 strokes at 40 spm. Look here's the quote again. I'll do a video with 50 strokes tomorrow morning after I am warmed up and rowing well. So either you can't do it or you are the bozo for...

Re: Ranger's training thread
I need to warm up and be a lot fresher than I am now in order to row as well as I can at 40 spm (I have already done my 20K for the day), but here are a few successive strokes at 95 df., just done in my street clothes, etc. I'll do a video with 50 strokes tomorrow morning after I am warmed up and r...

Re: Ranger's training thread
What happened to the 50 stroke video at 40spm?
It seems like you have to stop after 20 strokes, whatever rate you're doing.

Any news on that 50 stroke video?ranger wrote: Sure, I'll get a video of the 50 strokes.
I can't do it this morning, though.
I forgot to charge the battery for my digital camera after playing around with it yesterday.
I'll do the video tomorrow.
