Yeah, that's gonna be hard but you may as well try. How many weeks do you have untill the end of the season? How much do you weigh, height etc. And how many times do you train per week?

A good way to improve is to take a different mindset going into the ergo, whether or not you want ot hold it at your intended split for the whole 2000 meters or structure it like a race and vairy the split time and stroke rate.

Is anybody here familiar with the concept of a 'minutes' workout? It's where we row flat out with the drag on 10 for a whole minute (rate must stay above 30) then rest for one minute and repeat 10 times. We often have guys at the club throwing up after this.

If you are training for a race on the water then there is no substitution for technique practice on the water, also practice racing starts because 1000 meters is a very short distance on the water so technique plays a bigger factor than strength or ergo times. That stuff helps but skill will win out...

Your plan seems a little over the top but different things work for different people i guess, although there are a few faults.
