If you are training for a race on the water then there is no substitution for technique practice on the water, also practice racing starts because 1000 meters is a very short distance on the water so technique plays a bigger factor than strength or ergo times. That stuff helps but skill will win out...

Your plan seems a little over the top but different things work for different people i guess, although there are a few faults. I am 170cm tall, I weigh 62 kilograms and my last 2k ergo was 7:30 I am currently rowing for scotch college in Melbourne, Australia.
