Re: Rojabo Training
That's ultimately what I concluded with CrossFit, as well. It's only good for boosting CrossFit performance in the long run.

Re: Rojabo Training
It went pretty well, all things considered. I was on a new power guide (relatively), and I tapped out with 3:40 remaining for the 28spm @ 303 watts. My index is at 310, and my "actual max" is listed at 6:36, with a potential of 6:15. LONG WAY to go, in other words. Nearly all workouts now are on the...

Re: Rojabo Training
Ha! Well, hopefully others will speak about their experiences with the program as well, or give it a shot in the first place. I've been trying to analyze the numbers and figure out how they concocted the index and what determines how many points a workout earns, but largely to no avail. The reality ...

Re: Rojabo Training
Sander, be sure to post how it goes! And whatever impact it has on your Rojabo Index. The graph and data and all that is interesting, but I'm not sure exactly what it says. That could just be a function of my inability to read it, or, it might not demonstrate a whole lot. We have tons of access to a...

Re: Rojabo Training
I wouldn't worry about it. You'll find as many opinions on the role & value of heart rate as you will athletes, but I've never come across anything all THAT conclusive to warrant sweating it that much. The fact is, the plan's been working well for you thus far, there's probably no reason to tweak it...

Re: Rojabo Training
Sander, Let us know how that 2K test turns out! I was gone in New Zealand for 10 days (i.e., no meaningful erg workouts), so when I returned home I did the endurance test again--went from tapping out at 28spm/3:45 left to going til 28spm/3:15 left (at the same power guide prescription). So, not terr...

Re: Rojabo Training
NavHaz-- Quite well-stated, and a good article to boot. To a degree, I wonder if Rojabo on its own is enough--many of the workouts are challenging, and as any smart athlete knows, one grows and develops during periods of recovery and not during work. Recovery is at least 50% of the process. Clearly,...

Re: Rojabo Training
^bump^ Was curious to see if anyone else had picked up on this plan or seen any additional results with it. I started in earnest on it a couple weeks ago, and found that you really have to pay attention to what you're doing on the power-efficiency test. Best I can tell, start at a pace on the 20spm ...

Rojabo
I discovered Rojabo.com and it looks pretty awesome, quite honestly. I was curious about a couple things: 1) When it asks you to select a level (no training, rec athlete, athlete, elite), how exactly should you answer that? "No training" is obvious. I suspect many athletes think they're elite, and m...
