Hi, My exercise "carreer" has gone from cycling to gym and now exclusively to erging as my main source of exercise. I have always done chin-ups since I was a kid and continue with them as well as dips (I love those body weight exercises). I'm not manic about them but find they make me feel good. Hav...

Re: worked for me too!
Am a beginner, started rowing with the straps and then after reading this thread I went strapless. The point about extra energy going to the straps instead of the pull made sense to me. I tried it and it worked for me. I rowed faster and with a lower spm than I had ever done. It also forced me to f...

Have you tried BODYGLIDE? Just a thought. I don't get blisters from erging—just calluses, which serve as a welcome reminder that I'm erging regularly. Hey Ducatista, Thanks, that looks like it will work. Have'nt seen it here in South africa but will look around. It makes a lot of sense to me. Have ...

It is only these examples that cause the blistering . I think because it does'nt allow movement on the handle and pulls the ...

Finger joint pain
There was a guy on here a while back who was having trouble with arthritic like symptoms in his finger joints where he was having trouble with painful joints and fingers that would not straighten after an erg session. Well I have recently just inherited these same symptoms while having had non since...

Hi Grams, Hope you feeling better. I used to live at the coast and noticed when we moved to 2000m altitude I always felt dizzy when standing up. This lasted for years . I now have high BP , no more dizzyness ! What most people don't realise is the difference in perceived effort when going tp altitud...

I rowed 2000 m last night, stapless and it was weird at first, but my time was not that far off of my regular time. I found that my groin was doing more work and that i was slumping when I had the straps on. My stroke rate was way down as well, from the low to mid 30' down to the low 20's. Hi Spadd...
