Re: Polar H9 issues: displaying low heart rate and negative trending rate
Update: the heart rate issue still persists. It started again a few weeks after the replacement was sent. At this point I'm just tired. Tired of every company that advertises functionality and then fails to deliver. At this point I still don't know if it's a pm5 problem, a polar h9 monitor issue or ...

Re: Polar H9 issues: displaying low heart rate and negative trending rate
That wouldn't work as amazon will forward you to polar. I had an issue with my H10 and contacted amazon - they directed me to polar. Service was well, but took also a week as service center for my location is Netherlands. I was still well within the Amazon return window. I could have asked for a re...

Re: Polar H9 issues: displaying low heart rate and negative trending rate
In all honesty, it may have been faster for me to request a replacement through Amazon and let the vendor deal with it. However polar did pay for postage both ways in my case so it only took about a week or so since I'm located in nj and polar's service location is in NY. That wouldn't work as amaz...

Re: Polar H9 issues: displaying low heart rate and negative trending rate
Update: Meant to update this thread a while ago. So the new battery didn't do anything. I took concept2's suggestion of not using the usb drive with erg data as they claim it'll cause issues. No resolve with the polar h9. I was soaking the entire band in warm water before wearing and soaking it in b...

Re: Polar H9 issues: displaying low heart rate and negative trending rate
I'll try replacing the battery. I've only had it a couple weeks but suppose the battery it shipped with was old. The battery level says full in the polar beats app but unsure how accurate that is.
Hopefully that's all. I'll do a follow up tomorrow

Polar H9 issues: displaying low heart rate and negative trending rate
I've been using a polar h9 for a couple weeks now. My steady state heart rates have been displaying in the 125-140 range. I workout after work in the evening and when I get home I remove and dry the monitor and then shower and rinse the band and hang dry. The last two sessions the thing is acting up...

Hard dimensions of model d on concept2 slides?
Could someone who owns a model d with erg slides take a measurement of the floor space required? I just picked up a rubber Mat to protect the hardwood in the new room the erg is going to be used in. The mat is 4ftx10ft. I know the website says 11ft of room required but is that the actual floor space...

Re: Drop my 2k in 35 days!!
I'm not an expert, coach or elite athete. I don't understand how your coach wants you to personal best? Your 2k time @ a 24 spm rating? I only rowed in college (men's club team). On the water your starting rate might hit 42-44 spm and settle to a 32-38spm depending on your team and course conditions...

Re: How to drop my 2K time?? Is my goal possible?
This is just my poor story/experience so take it for what it's worth. My highschool didn't have or offer crew. I had no idea what it was. I ran a little cross country in highschool. I weighed 155lbs @ 6'1" when I graduated. I missed the cross country summer practices going into college. I went out f...

Re: Rowit with windows7
Got home and tried your trick. It worked without a hitch. However I noticed when I went to use the concept2 utility that I needed to unplug the USB cord and reinsert to get the utility to recognize the PM3.The two pieces of software must utilize different ports or something. I am no software enginee...

Re: Rowit with windows7
Ill try that tonight.
I figured it had something to so with the way windows7 identifies USB ports vs xp and or vista.

Re: rowing after illness
never had an illness like that. I had Lyme's disease the spring season my junior year of college. I apparently had mono too at the same time according to the blood work but never realized it nor did it affect my performance. (my knee began swelling which is why they tested for lyme's due to a lack o...

Re: Newbie technique help
When coming from the finish to the catch, your seat should be behind your lower back. This would require you to swing forward before the wheels(seat) start moving. Also, I noticed you were breaking your back alittle early in the drive. At the catch and through the drive you would benefit from a bit ...

Re: 2k testing - rate/fan setting
interesting. I have never had the opportunity to use the erg slides either. Alittle off topic but... Are they worth the investment for someone who rows as a hobby? I don't have any dreams of serious competition but if i join a club i wouldn't mind rowing again in some club events, both fall and spri...
