I had a NordicTrack about 15 years ago and it seemed okay at the time but then I tried real XC skiing. It was completely different. I use that exact set up to train upper body for XC skiing. The tubing I use has loops on the end as opposed to handles so I can get more of a ski pole grip. It works just fine. I usually go for time, e.g., 10 minutes using a relatively light resistance. I combine this with some inline roller skating...

Would Rollerskiing Count as "On Snow?"

For purposes of recording workouts and participating in challenges that allow for "on snow" meters, would rollerskiing count as "on snow?" Don't see why they wouldn't but I just want to make sure.

I think the form would be more true to XC skiing if the user would stand farther away from the machine. This would create a motion truer to the angle of a real pole plant as opposed to the near vertical poling we're seeing in the videos. Classic skiers would need to stand even further away since the...
