Since I have been using the BETA firmware for the PM5 and the newest Android app, no crashes have occured.
Let's see if this fix is permanent .

Re: PM5: Bluetooth & ANT Connection Drops
... what seems to help for me as a (temp.?) fix is:
- Beta firmware for PM5
- Connect the ErgData App
- Let the heart rate belt connect automatically and don't actively connect it via the menu...
But it still seems to work somehow by coincidence.

Re: PM5: Bluetooth & ANT Connection Drops
After many trials... I'm now pretty confident that the drops only happen when 2 devices are connected at the same time.
With the HRM or ErgData connected individually, I don't have any connection crashes...

Re: PM5: Bluetooth & ANT Connection Drops
Fyi...Rowed for 40 minutes straight last night with no drop outs... One difference is I paired my ergdata app to my pm5 first, then a few minutes later, paired the chest strap. Unfortunately, I can't confirm this... mine lost its connection today after a few minutes in the training although I had p...

Re: PM5: Bluetooth & ANT Connection Drops
Well, as expected - connecting only the ERGDATA via bluetooth w/o using the HRM in the PM5 works... no connection loss. However, I realized some other bugs related to my issue today when playing around and trying to figure out the logic behind this error: - For example, it is not possible to connect...

Re: PM5: Bluetooth & ANT Connection Drops
You'll need to write to them rowing@concept2.com or call them at 1-800 245 5676 as they don't always follow this forum. Thx for the hint - I've written already and tried to describe with as many details as possible since I think this might be related to software versions and combinations of firmwar...

Re: PM5: Bluetooth & ANT Connection Drops
Hi stego, I'm very happy to read that someone else has the same issue. And it's very interesting to hear that it also seems to happen with a different kind of HRM - so I'm sure now that it's not related to the specific Garmin HRM-Tri which I'm happily using and don't want to exchange ;-). Regarding ...

Re: PM5: Bluetooth & ANT Connection Drops
I'll try to narrow it down further (e.g. does it happen with only one device connected...) and get in contact with the C2 Support team.
Maybe someone else on here has a similar issue?

Yeah, it's the latest. Version 4.3. Works reliably with my other devices...Citroen wrote:Does your Garmin have upgradable firmware?
I wonder if it's about the combination of having an ANT+ and a Bluetooth device paired at the same time to the PM5

PM5: Bluetooth & ANT Connection Drops
Hi there, I have been using my Indoor Rower for quite a few months now - great experience. I have the PM5 attached to it and use an Android-based phone (Android 7.1.2 operating system) as well as a Garmin HRM-Tri ANT+ heart rate monitor. When I do exercise, I pair the ERGDATA App with the PM5... and...
