Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread
The Gee Crew's challenge for February is 300 metres with normal rules applying. Tommy is keen to get more youngsters involved in indoor rowing and would like the title of the challenge to be 'Encourage The Kids'.

Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread
Congratulations to the Delivery Room for breaking the hold that SPU has maintained so far this season. Welcome to the Aussi Roos and Vesluj.com who have both made an impressive start. The Diamonds absolutely hammered their own record of participation by launching 103 boats. I think their previous be...

Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread
I've attended many indoor rowing competition venues and can't recall any instances of more than a minute between the 'Stop Rowing' and 'Go' instructions. The fan may be still moving but there is very little energy retained after thirty seconds of inactivity.

Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread
For me that sounds like "Separate CTC for dynamics" and I agree to that, like it's for skierg. Yes, the wording of the added option was not clear on facebook. Casey has clarified that it's a vote for a skierg type team, where all dynamic users are in the same team. For information, at this moment, ...

Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread
While I would personally allow slides or dynamics, I don't think it is right to disenfrachise the former and not the latter when the differences are similar. I would also be in favour of allowing a "dynamics team". Hi Iain, I'm not clear which of the three options you are choosing, if any. Like man...

Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread
There's a poll, conducted by Casey on facebook, on whether dynamics should continue to be allowed in the CTC. Currently, the voting is close. Previous votes have used the Google Poll so that members of this forum who do not wish to be on facebook could express their view. This poll effectively disen...

Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread
Many thanks to RowAlong for their imaginative challenge. It attracted 133 crews to our August event. SPU finished at the head of the leaderboard again. That's all four challenges so far this season. Congratulations! The Diamonds totalled more than half the fleet with 73 boats afloat. That's great pa...

Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread
Congratulations to SPU: Te Waka for maintaining their excellent start to the season by finishing on top of the leaderboard in the June Challenge. The Diamonds floated 81 boats which, I believe, is their second highest total. That's a fantastic level of participation. Future Challenges: August: RowAl...

Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread
Congratulations to SPU: Te Waka for making an excellent leading start to the new season. The Diamonds produced another stunning flotilla of 75 boats. I've checked the records while they are still there on old site and found that the Free Spirits position in the Challenger chart was incorrectly calcu...

Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread
I've updated the historical CTC standings to include the 2023-24 season. The first table shows the number of points gained while the second shows the final position. Here, points go from a maximum at the head of the leaderboard to one point at the foot. For me, it's interesting to see the the rise a...
